What real life skill have you acquired from playing video games?

Raiding and looting!!

I can hack a console and that's about it, really.

Pretty sure Video games have taught me to think critically and problem solving tbh.

Wasn't there some kind of game that teaches you guitar?
If you already have experience, you could still learn a thing or two.
Thats RockSmith. It uses actual chords and note placement for songs. It's pretty cool imo

So yeah, have you ever have that "I know how to use a gun, I played CSGO before" moment, but actually has/been helpful in your life?
I'll start with something simple, Civilization helped me with history lesson during my school years.
Also, a friend of mine actually learned how to drive from Forza Motorsport.
Human empathy, kindness, and a willingness to help others.

Unironically, UNDERTALE traumatized me for a bit as a kid. I struggled to kill NPCs and had a whole "killing-is-bad" deal. Now, granted, other players is fine, but I would always swap weapons if they got mad at me using a specific weapon (in games like Team Fortress 2.)

Back in Highschool my Driver's ed instructor wouldn't stop saying stuff like "No, playing Forza won't make you good at driving", but to be honest I got super into F-Zero around that time and I will always stand by the idea that it gave me a super good handle on steering.

Obvious playing a driving simulator won't alone make you good at driving, but like you I fully stand by the idea that playing videogames gives us better motorskills and coordination abilities, which are on full display when behind a real wheel.

Thanks to Tetris I can pack things very well?

English, hand/feet-eye coordination, rhythm, reflexes, organizing things.
I also learned to set boundaries with people and allow myself to have feelings, mostly from seeing characters I identified with and their personal growth, which ended up helping with my own.
Lastly, I learned some things about solving problems, managing resources and thinking strategically, mostly from playing puzzle and RPG games.

Souls games taught me how to approach scenarios with patience and discipline. Before then I used to be a hard core ragger until the games beat me down.
