hi!! posting a thing on here once again because at the end of the month i'm going to be tabling at an event at a collectibles/retro game store near me and i need to prepare!!! i'm an illustrator, i do comic book styled stuff, but i was mostly wondering what you all might think would sell well. i think the demographic will probably be like 30 or 40 somethings, so i want to capitalize on their nostalgia, but i'm too young to know what would be the most effective for that. i just need suggestions for what to draw and make prints of so i can sell a lot of stuff. thank you thank you thank you!!!

At a retro game store? You can't go wrong with a little Final Fantasy! Or maybe Gundam? Those gundam guys are probably rich, have you seen how expensive those kits are?

You could find the old Frank Frazetta images of Conan, good ones though, I wouldn't buy any print if it wasn't high resolution, that goes for any of your images really. You can find them on the internet with a good search I'm sure. Also I would also definitely buy good prints of Red Sonja by Boris Vallejo.

I think it might help if you posted some of your stuff here so people can see your style. Makes it a lot easier to make suggestions.
i hope this is sufficient!! this is all stuff i've done within the past couple of months, including two school projects. i had to reduce the file sizes of my scans so i hope the quality isn't too low resoolution..

Lots of good suggestions here.
Now that I have seen your style it reminds me of the Brazilian Street Fighter comic:

I hope you don't see my comparison as an insult. I really like your style.

I would recommend Street Fighter 2 for obvious reasons. I would also say try Thundercats, GI Joe, and of course TMNT.

If you want to try your luck with something a bit more niche you could go Silverhawks, or MASK from the 80's. Ren and Stimpy, or Rugrats from the 90's.

This is all pretty general however. As a safe back up you can always ask the owner of the retro shop for suggestions. They will know, not only what was popular at the time, but what people are looking for today in your area.

Best of luck to you and don't be afraid to show us some of the stuff you decided to go with!
