Seems that people are moving away from consoles to PC and away from Windows. Are they? Lets find out!

What OS do you use the most for gaming on PC?

I use CachyOs, which is an Arch based Linux distro, haven't had any problem running games, and my preferred software.

Btw SteamOs is a Linux distro.

I just use Windows as it has huge library of software available.
I also use Windows because I mostly play older games and are probably a bit of a pain to put to work elsewhere, like Silent Hill 2.

I am currently using windows as I grew up with XP and 7. However I am thinking about switching to Linux. One of my computers that I having laying around has Nobara installed on it but I need to upgrade that one.

I know, but it's also becoming it's own kind of thing...
Maybe in public perception? But it's just an Arch Based distro with Valve upstreaming a lot of the things they do so everyone in the Linux space can make use of their gaming improvements. But to answer the question I use Fedora on my main desktop and then Chimaera OS (similar to SteamOS) and Batocera on my couch PC.

Windows.
I'd like to get a playstation some time, but as of now I remain unemployed.

Bazzite. Works for every game I play, including older games.

Endeavouros on my desktop and linux mint on my laptop. though i AM going to be switching to endeavour on my laptop too ive just been busy with things on it atm. but its just a really good arch based distro that i havent really had a lot of problems with. its REALLY customizable and as user friendly as it gets

yes I use win 11. Becuse I can´t be bothered with Linux. Yes linux is better but the hazle to get some games to work sucks ass.

Was trying to get one of my favorite mmo games to work on Linux yeah Proton did not work. Lutris did not work so I had to google how to get it to run welp two A4 pages long step on how to I was like nah fuck it Win 11 it is becuse that was just press install and play.

Also changing to leaning I would lose ALL my save files for games because guess what the save file structure in windows does not work on Linux so fick all your progression. Only game that can work is the ones that uses steam cloud but I got shit loads of non steam games.

People sing praises how good linux has become yeah probably but for some one that just wanna play games hell NO. Until the day I can just press install and play with out wall of text how to step guide or some exstra program you need to fiddle with nah I won´t change.

And if next Windows sucks even more ass well I quit gaming for good then.

Just found something called CrapFixer 1.3 that debloats windows 11
uninstalls a bunch of useless crap
but most importantly puts the start menu back where it should be 👍

Be careful it won't install a virus, a keylogger or a backdoor...

Windows for sure.

I'm getting close to 10 years only on Linux now, after switching away from Mac, how time flies.
