What kind of name could they ever give to the fifth Xbox hardware?

They will release like 20 xbox models, call it the Xbox Family series and shove a bunch of bullshit letters and suffixes after each one completely arbitrarily.

We will all complain. Most people will still buy one anyway because there is no hope left for humanity.

They could fuck off and drop out the video game industry ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I wouldn’t say Xbox is terrible. It’s arguably the better budget system or was before the tariffs if you want to play on a console.
Most people who buy Xbox are chill but there is a fringe group that will support anything they do because they are American it feels like.
I feel like the rumors of what Sony are doing with ps6 by attempting to keep costs down are what Xbox should be doing but they are pivoting to release “the most powerful hardware” but at the same time want to bolster gamepass numbers and get inclusive with their audience…

Xbox Prime. They love front row allegations. "Prime" offers that.

Why not change the shape? XBag. XBoot. Or the perhaps the edible system, XBun. Maybe Xbox 2048? We've skipped a few generations since the Nintendo 64, why not bring back Bit-related names that double each generation?

Calling it Xbox 5 would be jarring, but at least they could build off of it. Even my roommates who game on my Series X don't know what it's called. I get the logic of having the Series S and Series X, but they need to keep things simple for the average consumer. Playstation's numbering system is boring as hell, but effective and easy to understand Allegedly they will have another console, but I'm skeptical. I could see the hardware side of Xbox being shut down when Microsoft needs to appease shareholders by slashing jobs after their tens of billions in AI investments keep leading to no big returns. It's too bad they don't lean more into backwards compatibility, there are still plenty of Xbox and 360 games that can't be played on modern systems. I'm sure it's not a big system seller, but the convenient backwards compatibility was a big reason that I bought my Series X. I probably wouldn't have played through Fallout New Vegas otherwise, I had a pretty shit experience trying it on Steam back in the day.
