Let's just say I can get very fanatical, I just don't look like it from the outside, I don't interact with fandoms either.

I'm the kind of fan who will buy fan art to frame if the art is good, or some figures if done well. I like showing off a bit here and there, but it has to be of some quality. Never was a big fan of buying a thing just because I'm a fan.

I don't like participating in fandom. Either the things I like aren't popular enough to have a sizeable "fandom" or the fandom is horrible to interact with.

Also I think being a "fan" is kind of overrated as a concept. What it basically means is you'll take anything, even subpar stuff, as long as it belongs to an IP you're attached to. You shouldn't let corporations play with your feelings like that.

I know I'm being a bit of a downer, but the last few years of social media have really soured my opinion of fandom!

I'm kind of evangelical in my love for the Nintendo DS. Two of my top ten all-timers are on the platform (TWEWY and Picross 3D), not to mention a slew of classics and hidden gems. Always something new to discover. I respect the 3DS but I think the library pales in comparison to its predecessor, both in experimental games and mainstream heavy-hitters.
