What is your thoughts on Modern Handheld Gaming?

We started all the way to the Gameboy days then they evolved to DS/PSP then Smartphones/Tablets came along and change the game.
During the early 2010s, most people think there is no need for a dedicated gaming handheld, if your phones/tablets can play game on the go but however few years later, a fellow handheld from the Big N arrived. It's not just save dedicated handheld gaming but it's save a whole entire company from the Wii U. Handheld market revived and more companies join in the bandwagon, dedicated gaming handhelds can co-exist with smartphones and tablets since it's not down upon during the early 2010s.
Nowadays, we are living in an era of Retro Emulation and PC Handhelds. Devices like the Steam Deck, Retroid Pocket 5, Anbernic and so many more to name.

Oops, sorry, got a little carried away there.
But yeah, I hate it.

I want REAL new handheld consoles (as in not just an anbernic or whatever device that're just portable emulators) that are small and ACTUALLY portable (no Steam Deck/Switch halfbreed), have WORSE specs than consoles (so they aren't competitors to themselves), have CHEAPER games made SPECIFICALLY for handhelds.

I'm unfathomably upset that the real handheld landscape was just scorched-earthed so hard by the Switch just surprising every single console manufacturer into just giving up on the spot.

In your daily life you may had to wait a lot for something, that's why handheld gaming devices mattered a lot. Better than smoking lol.

Now technology improved, however for me the thing is can't play games on touch screens for many reasons. That's why I will always go for either physical buttons I can push or motion detector, hand gesture detector and voice command technology so you play the game without buttons. As long as it is not the stupid idea of playing a game by touching the screen when you have to see the screen to play the game but your hands block the way idea I'm game lol. Though my hands are too big for touchscreen gaming, probably why it sucks for me lol. So nope, tablets and smartphones doesn't replace shit for my handheld gaming fun. I play games on my Steam Deck on the go or I bring my 3DS.

However smartphones are important for people. It became a companion for their daily life replacing their momma lol and therefore they wish smartphone can do everything like even cooking for you so no need to get married to replace your momma with a wife!!! That's why people prefer to ditch console gaming and wanna play games on smartphones instead. This is where "everything is an Xbox" concept is relevant. Instead of buying an Xbox you would play it on your smartphone via streaming technology at least. Console gaming may never die, but society shifts to Gamer Smartphones (GSP) and it make me wish for Nokia N-Gage QD 2, Microsoft Lumia GSP and Sony Xperia Play lol. GSPs may have touch screen yet it gotta have physical buttons you may push to game, otherwise they can suck my dick. I can always play games on tons of old handheld consoles. No one has to play a new game all the time!!!!

I dont like it, in fact I would even say it doesnt exists anymore, at least not how we most understood what handhelds where.

I love my Steam deck but I take out to play it just a shore, in contrast my GBASP fits my pocket perfectly. And more imporant, many games where designed so you can enjoy them in short terms, like on the bus. I wouldnt play Dark Sould or Elden Ring on a bus.

The ROG, Switch, Steamdeck are technically handhelds, but they lack the idea of "use it when you are on the bus".'

Just like da "high tech, low life" cyberpunk future I always wanted to experience!!! Fuck flying cars, it's peak when you play rubbish games on your $999.999 RTX GPU that needs quantum cooling!!! lolol

The year is 3015. Global warming was a real threat making the Netherlands submerged under the ocean. Shit was that serious yo!!!! On top of it the woke world caused the cow population to increase a lot by forcing vegan life-style to everyone so cows kept farting and making the atmosphere have a negative change. It accelerated global warming further, but the experimental food they ate and farted away made the atmosphere filled with a type of gas that added a new layer to the atmosphere blocking most of sun light ever reaching Earth. As a result global warming danger has been replaced with a never-ending winter that humans called it the era of "Neverwinter Nights"!!! It was when the world collapsed, and as a last hope everyone dropped the concept of a country and enemies (can you imagine? lol) and sent all their hopes and wishes to Nvidia because they had an idea!!! If they could develop the ultimate GPU, it could generate so much heat they wouldn't need the sun anymore!!!! After decades of research and even being helped out by AMD and Intel they finally used the last resources of Earth to produce da Nvidia Cosmic Hellfire RTX GPU!!! Finally people were happy they can sweat again and finally run Crysis!!!! lololol

Well I am using my phone as a emulator device all in one emulator from Atari to wii and I have a controller I am a simple person a all in one device full of retro game I am happy with it.
