What is your Second Sony Console? ~ Cuál es tu Segunda Consola de Sony?

I think this PS2 version is the Super Slim model right?
I think so? i just refer to it as Slim.
I use this model to play burnt DVD-R's now and again, but since i am on PCSX2 now I haven't touched it in a good while. I salute you PS2.

Edit: I said CDR's by mistake, i'm thinking of burnt DC games for some reason, Doh! (Amended)

I understand the point, my friend.

My first was a PS1 my second was also a PS1. My friends and I wore out
my first PS1 playing it and partying. The old PS1s had eventual disk read problems.
I had heard somewhere (remember this is pre-interwebs) that if you play it
upside-down it will work. so you ended up with this:

I'll be damned it did work, for a while at least. So i had to get a new PS1
Turning the PS1 upside down caused the lens to protrude further from its frame, getting much closer to the disc and reading it correctly.
Well, this was quite helpful for a while, but over time the lens would end up touching the disc, scratching it and itself.
The only valid solution (at the beginning of the problems) was to act on the trimmers in order to adjust the height of the lens and—in worse cases—to recalibrate the laser intensity. ;->

It was 1997, there was no interwebs and all my Playstation tech info came from a small blurb in the back of PSM (Playstation Magazine), I didnt then and and thirty years later i still have no idea how to fix anything on a CD player.

@Badseed - Yes, I know... sorry! :oops:
I always start from the fact that - having been an electronics technician - I have the necessary knowledge, so I always tend to provide appropriate explanations, forgetting that not everyone knows the same things... 😅

Wow, PSM! I still have them all and keep them preserved like relics! 🤩
