We have to admit that the Wii, the DS and the Game Boy are very good consoles of the Big N.

My Second Nintendo Console was the Snes the best console they ever made before they went downhill and started peddling shit.

I can't remember if I got a Game Boy or an SNES first. Likely SNES, as I THINK I got the SNES in 1992 (the Control set w/o a pack-in & just 1 controller) for Christmas with A Link to the Past, and I might have gotten the Game Boy in 1993 when Link's Awakening came out. Yeah, I missed the Tetris phenomenon entirely.

The Game Boy and the Super Nintendo were incredible consoles of the Big N.

Sadly, I no longer have it. It was sold off ages ago (yes, I still kick myself for that) the NA SNES, the one with Super Mario World and two controllers. Like I said in the "What was your first Nintendo console" question, nothing special. I think it did come with a SMW guidebook, but I can't remember for sure.
It's been so long ago. ::cirnoshrug

Oh wow, a chance to share a stupid anecdote from my childhood. My second Nintendo system was an N64. But I'm willing to bet I didn't buy it for the reason most people did.

So I grew up in the late 90's when Pokemania was everywhere. At the time all I had was a Super Nintendo because my parents would not allow me to own a Gameboy. They were of the belief that a portable game console would ruin my development. Giving me a way to game wherever and whenever I wanted was irresponsible, as they put it. And they may have been on to something, judging by how many people worry about kids with smartphones nowadays.

But anyway! Everyone was playing Pokemon and I couldn't. Sad times. That is until my father bought me Pokemon Red and a Super Game Boy for christmas. Blew my mind. I had a way to play Pokemon despite portable consoles being forbidden. Even better, Pokemon Gold was coming out the following year and I now had a way to play it day one with all my friends. Needless to say I played both of those games to death.

But then later on a wrench was thrown into my new addiction. Pokemon Crystal came out, I bought it on release and went to load it up. Only to be greeted with a screen stating "This game cannot be played on a Super Game Boy". I was devastated. Not wanting to return it, I started searching around online for any possible way I could play my new game. Those of you with knowledge of console peripherals might know where this is going.

So I'd tried the N64 a few times at friends' houses but the 3D stuff everyone was raving about didn't really appeal to me at the time. It was high tech for sure. I just didn't enjoy actually playing the games. However! I discovered the existence of Pokemon Stadium 2 and the GameBoy Tower mode. I then confirmed that you could indeed play Pokemon Crystal this way by plugging the game into an N64 Transfer Pack. Yes. I saved up multiple months of allowance and bought a brand new N64, Pokemon Stadium 2 and Transfer Pack. All so I could play a GameBoy Color game. The only other N64 game I have ever owned is a copy of Yoshi's Story a friend gave me. And that's how I got my second Nintendo console. Kids make the smartest financial decisions.
still responding to this post, had to say based on your N64 stuff, I "stole" a N64 with a hotcheck and a couple games, I was a horrible person back in '98. Was gonna say, yeah I 'tried' to get into Super Mario 64, it didn't appeal to me enough, was super cool, a whole 3D world BUT I got Star Fox, and I loved it. It was scrolling paths, not full 3D world to explore but I played that game so much on that system even though I was never really a fan of it, it never sunk in. Lol, my other favourite game, Mortal Kombat Triology, just some better graphics than 16-bit SNES, a non-3-D game was my other favourite.

SNES

I'm pretty sure this was after I already had a Genesis so it was Sega that brought me into the 16-bit world.
same here, had the NES for A WHILE into 1991 and received the Genesis, Streets of Rage 2 included lol, 16-bit and it was awesome, no Super Mario World or Link to the Past yet...

2nd Nintendo Console: if you're including the handheld, my household got a Gameboy in 1990, it could've been stolen, I don't remember it being a gift, lol. Tetris, that's it for a while too. IF NOT a handheld, I didn't get a SNES until 1996. I had no job and I liked the Sega Megadrive/Genesis enough. If it's home consoles, yeah the SNES. And just Super Mario Allstars, Zelda Link to the Past & AD&D Eye of the Beholder. Games were $39.95 up into $50. Times were tough. I never even owned Super Mario World lol

At least you had both consoles where one you were playing with Super Power and the other with Blast Processing.

I believe it was the GameCube. I jumped from 8-Bit pixels on a hand-me-down NES to full 3D gaming, at least when it came to Nintendo. It was also the last of the sixth-generation consoles I got a hold of, and tied with the Xbox for my #1 favorite console of that generation. It also had a far different vibe than a lot of the other consoles- Nintendo certainly has maintained variety in it's game offerings where others haven't, even if their offerings have gotten slightly more homogeneous since the Switch came out.

The GameCube is one of my first Big N consoles that I knew and played at that time officially speaking.

And as a curiosity the Wii (Standard Model) was given to me by my Nephew and my Dad in 2013 and it was Second and as well as their games but it was in good condition at least.

and also the Wii Games that my nephew and my dad gave me, although some of them were original, although most of them worked well and some didn't, or to a certain extent, but the other part were pirated and for some reason they didn't work on the Wii because it doesn't detect them as the original Wii Disc 💿📀.
