What is your Second Nintendo Console? ~ Cuál es tu Segunda Consola de Nintendo?

the SECOND Nintendo console I actually owned? Now that's an interesting question. The first one was a used 3DS I bought specifically to play Pokemon when I was in college, and it turned into a Monster Hunter machine. But that wasn't the question. So the second console I got, was a Switch Lite, a few years ago... with the intention to make it a Monster Hunter machine!

I didn't have any Nintendo when I was a kid, so the choices are more recent. And honestly I don't know if I'll ever get a Switch 2, unless it's a used one specifically to hack.

Not counting the Game Boy family, I started with N64 at home and then got Gamecube. That was it until the Switch Lite.

GameBoy advanced.

This was also the first system where I owned any pokemon games so it'll always have a special place in my heart.

Plus the GBA library is pretty stacked with great and unique experiences

The Gameboy Advance! Thinking back, I didn't actually have that many games for it, but what I did have I played the hell out of. Pokemon Sapphire, Pokemon Leaf Green, Final Fantasy VI, Kirby's Nightmare in Dreamland and Mario Kart Super Circuit were easily my most played games. With rentals I typically prioritized console games but I did have a ton of fun renting stuff like The Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap and Final Fantasy Tactics Advance.

I remember going to my dad's one weekend in 2002 and he just had a white GBA with Baseball Advance, Monster Jam: Maximum Destruction and a couple other games I can't quite remember along with a carrying case. Split custody was good for some things sometimes I guess lol. Once the second generation of SPs came out I remember begging my grandma to get me one and thankfully Toys R' Us had a light blue one on sale for $50, so she was willing to get me an early birthday gift.

Not the most nostalgia for the GBA, but man oh man the SP was the first handheld where I remember really loving the design and feel of it. Ironically I played my Gameboy Color probably just as much as my GBA and I recall always playing GB/GBC games on my GBC despite the GBA being backwards compatible up until I got the SP. I think I just liked the vertical handheld style of the GBC more and I do remember the GBA's screen buggin me a lot which the SP fixed.

If you count handhelds a green game boy or if you don't an snes around 94-95.
I would have wanted to be less of a nintendo nerd around those years, so I could enjoy some sega madness in its heyday.
