I played it once and it was difficult, especially the bosses who could defeat you in just a few hits, losing the game and forcing you to start all over from the beginning since you can't continue.

For sure. I only finally beat it like 2-3 years ago, it's tough. There's been some versions added to the repo that add in stuff like extra lives and whatnot, so that's nice to see. Would've been great to have 2-3 years ago!
