What is your First Video Game Based on a Movie?/Cuál es tu Primer Videojuego Basado de una Película?

Star Wars Trilogy Arcade was the first for me, back when SW had a soul. I played this joint at Chuck E. Cheese multiple times before I even watched the movies.

I didn't play it but the game looks good and especially for being based on the Original Trilogy (IV, V & VI).

Batman Returns, Snes.

Among all the movie-based games I played, they were the E.T. (2600) and Ghostbusters (FC/NES), but they were games not worth playing, especially because they were so far from the fidelity of the movie and also because playably they were monotonous but at least I played the Star Wars Arcade and it's fine for a Star Wars game although I haven't played the Indiana Jones from Atari but it doesn't look bad but you need 2 Atari 2600 controllers to play but it's not as comfortable as it seems unless I have a friend.

...E.T. for Atari 2600?

Vs. Goonies/Goonies II or Top Gun for NES?

or maybeh somethin on Commodore 64 was...

will have to think on this one. even though it already left meh mind as I type these very WERDz

Edit: OK OK now that I saw up above - I did play Raiders of the Lost Ark n Star Wars by around '84 along with E.T. - but I played the laserdisc Dragon's Lair n Space Ace in the arcade perhaps as early as '83... never played that version of Ghostbusters still to this day but had the pain-in-the-ass one for Sega Master System in early '87

NES Batman or NES Robocop. I can't remember which one I played first.

Either Batman or Lion King nes, but a friend of my dad's had the Golgo 13 localized game and I played that too ofc having no idea at the time what it was based on

I feel like I played those games as well, although I prefer FC/ARC's The Goonies/Vs. The Goonies more than that game is fine for a game based on an iconic movie of the same name.

Glad to see all the shout-outs for ET on the Atari! Makes me feel not so old, after all 😅

For me, it's a toss-up between this one...

Or maybe this one...?

Probably Tron, if I had to guess. Pretty sure I'd already spent some time in arcades before we had videogames at home 😎

I've played them on Tron by Arcade and Star Wars V by Atari and they're not bad for movie-based games.

I think that the King Kong video game is based on the movie of the same name but from '76.
King Kong '76 is an awesome movie, if anyone hasn't seen it! ::fire The sequel they made over 10 years later? not so much ::sailor-embarrassed

Although I have seen the 2005 one that was directed by Peter Jackson and the Godzilla vs. Kong from 2021 but from there I haven't seen other King Kong movies but the one from '76 has its own thing.

My first tie in movie game that I've seen is ice age 3 for the ps2 but I got to play it so many years later.

Edit:I watched this game on YouTube so many times when I was a kid.

I have seen the movie but I have not played the game, but it doesn't look as bad as the movie itself which is entertaining ::thumbsupwario.

if you mean a game that used real images from a movie, then Ghostbusters 2, Amiga version
