What is your First Racing Video Game?/Cuál es tu Primer Videojuego de Carreras?

I don't remember the first racing game I ever played (I was too young), but the games that made me fall in love with the genre are these two:

Need for Speed: Most Wanted

Gran Turismo 4

Without a doubt one of the best PS2 Racing games in the universe although I like Gran Turismo 4 better because it was the first PS2 game I played while in NFS: MW '05 I got to play it on the GameCube version and then on PS2 through emulation via Dolphin & PCSX2.

Night Driver for the 2600, if that counts. If not that, then Grand Prix on 2600.

I believe mine was Racing Destruction Set for Commodore 64.

When I got a PS1 for my eleventh birthday I had this and Cool Boarders 3. Both are technically "racing" games, but this one was the standout.

I had a blast with NFS III. I loved the music especially that silly tune from the first stage country side. I remember unlocking a car called El Nino and crashing a lot. LOL.

Need for Speed III is a good Need for Speed game but it is not for everyone because it is a difficult game because I never passed the first level of championship mode or with the 3 cars available in the game I could not pass it either, I was always in 6th, 7th or last place and I feel that I can't handle the game and there was no choice but to abandon the game. But I prefer the fourth installment (Need for Speed: High Stakes/Road Challenge) because is fairer and more fun although you needed to replay the tournament cups to get more money to be able to buy more cars to participate in the next cup tournaments yes, but at least you had good memories with those Racing games at that time.
No joke. I remember the serious pain of crashing when in first only to get sent way behind with what felt like an impossible win.

Drome Racers is the first one I remember owning. It was actually one of the two games I got with my PS2. There was some monster truck game I played on the PC before this, but I've never been able to figure out what it was called.

I played this game but in the GBA version once, although it was not the best way to play the game, I entertained myself for a while, at least although I don't know if I also gave a chance to the Home Consoles versions of this game that are better than in the GBA version.

Despite the limitations of the NES version port in graphics and resolution, it's pretty decent and fun for a while.
I used to play it with my cousin when we were kids and we were at my grandma's for sleepovers. I remember we'd stay up way later than we should have playing Super Sprint for hours. My grandpa had an nes he said was for us kids to play but every night after my grandma had went to bed he'd stay up playing Bomberman.

I understand you my friend 👍🏻.

Not sure about the first I ever played, but Atari's Enduro was probably among the first ones, when it comes to very old racing games. I think its gameplay still holds just fine.

And it's a fun game and something different for the time.

Mario Kart 64

I remember playing it and letting my cousin play it, and he liked it so much he got a N64 too

And it was also the first Nintendo 64 game that I played at the house of a cousin of mine who had the game on a PC via emulation and that time too.

I had a Genesis beforehand, but it was the N64 that really race.

I never played this Star Wars game except for the GBC version which was top-down racing perspective but it wasn't too bad but I feel that the home console versions are better than the GBC version.

I played that one too, actually! I loved the N64 version so much that I rented the GBC version from a video store when I finally got my hands on a GameBoy. I must admit that the console version was better. Haha!

It's pretty primitive by today's standards, but it was a really special game for me, at the time. :->

I understand you 👍🏻.

Pole Position. Earliest I remember playing. It was the sit down cabinet.

And as a curiosity I got to know the Road Fighter game through the FunStation with a Multicart that had 9999999 games in 1 (NC-08A) that were actually 6 Different Games and the rest was repeated countless times and I think it was the number 2 game on the list and it showed a train with a helicopter drawn in paint as a background.

I don't remember 🤔 something either on arcade or NES developed in the late 80s.
