What it says in the title.
I haven't seen any thread talking about it (or at least haven't search enough I guess), so I decided to ask.

If you could choose a game or games that is/are your Favorite Game/s of All time, what would that/those be?
Mine is simple: Terranigma, for the Snes. A little semi-obscure Dungeon Crawler/JRPG made by Quintet (their most famous games ActRaiser and Illusion of Gaia) that actually never came out in the States, making it somewhat unforgotten.
Besides that, I would say the other two that are part of the "pseudo-trilogy", aka the two games that came out before that share some similarities with Terranigma, those being Soul Blazer and Illusion of Gaia (Illusion of Time in the EU).
And lastly I guess two Castlevania games; Harmony of Dissonance and Order of Ecclesia, MegaMan 7 and Breath of Fire 3.

ElesYokai Watch 3DS, have a great week!

I did enjoy playing Gran Turismo 5 XL, Mod Nation Racers, all 3 Uncharted games, the Infamous collection, the Rachet & Clank collection & Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection on my PS3 (When I had one). And also Spyro 2 on the PS1 (The disc broke though).

everyone already knows

I'm not sure if I'd be able to pick a definitive favourite, but I do have a top 5. I'm not going to order them, but they're:
Sin and Punishment, Dark Souls 1, Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix, Pikmin 2 & Vanquish

Yokai watch and digital devil saga mentioned on the same thread?!! The world is ending ( with you 😉)

My favorite game is probably Metroid prime
I have to go back to TWEWY someday, thanks for reminding me lol
Metroid Prime and Fusion are like the only Metroid games I've played, and yea, Prime 1 is AMAZINGLY GOOD.

To me it's perfect.
Not a bias 10/10
It really is that special. period.

Blends true psychological horror with mystery, subtly, haunting atmosphere, symbolism, use of silence & fear of the unknown.
It makes you question everything around you, the characters, state of the world, the monsters and so on.

James must faces his inner fears & guilt, manifesting an alternate world state that reflects the character's own psyche through the spiritual power of the town.

Multiple endings that are achieved just by playing the game naturally, you could end up with any number of outcomes by the time those credits roll.

Audio design is bliss, from silence to strange industrial noises, it makes you feel very uncomfortable at times in environments mostly designed with claustrophobia and dark narrow spaces in mind.

As sad as it is to say, I know pretty much everything about SH2, from inception, inspiration, how everything can be interpreted and/or symbolized. It's a masterpiece, plain & simple.
I still talk about it to this day & think it's sheer brilliance when faced with how to make a story driven horror experience & then combining that concept with the subconscious mind, then manifest it.

Will you come to terms with you have done & walk free from Silent Hill? or does the town take you?

SH2 it's definitely a game I've wanted to play for a long time, especially because of that OST goddamn
Akira Yamaoka is just a musical genius

Aye I hear ya, it's truly phenomenal work.
Oh & If you or anyone here for that matter ever decide to have a crack at SH2, I highly recommend the Enhanced Edition for PC.

I don’t really have one definitive favorite game of all time. For me it shifts depending on what I’m currently revisiting. Right now I’ve been playing with Panzer Dragoon Saga on the Sega Saturn.

Sid Meier's Pirates! on Commodore 64. There are newer versions that look better but that's the version I still will go for if given the choice. A close second is Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II Plus, but I don't think it will ever take the top spot.

Mmmm... there are a lot, but it could be MGS1 or Conker BFD, but I guess I will have to choose:

Even tho I started playing it on PC withe the Gear Box port and Custom Edition for online.

Since then I have finished on MCC, and even got an original Xbox recently so I can play it even again.

This is a tough one because it can vary wildly from day to day. But considering it's the first game I boot up whenever I'm testing out something Sega Genesis related, I'd have to go with Vectorman

I can't say I really have a favorite, but LEGO Star Wars II holds a special place in my heart as the first video game I truly wanted to keep coming back to.

My favorite game is without a doubt, ys 8 lacrimosa of dana:

Phantasy star 4 on the sega genesis held the position for over 20 years, until i played this masterpiece, which should point out how much of a fan of this game i am.

it's hard to say when i actually prefer a lot of custom content for it, but i guess Thief: The Dark Project. i think in level selection for the base game, the sequel would win over by a slight bit, but the presentation, atmosphere and especially fan mission selection for the first game has way more top spots for me.

other immediate pick that comes to mind would be Blood. there are few things in other games as satisfying as blowing up enemies with a toss of dynamite over and over.

It's PURE magic.

The audiovisual aspect makes it feel like a dream, it's so ethereal and mysterious, and sometimes slightly spooky, and sometimes comforting and calming.
The gameplay and the rules you're given are extremely straightforward and simple, but the context makes your responsibility feel massively heavy.
The story is simple yet excellent, and combined with the way it looks and sounds makes it truly feel like a fairy tale or folk tale in a way very few games manage to, in my opinion.

All of these aspects it combines PERFECTLY.

No game experience will ever come close to my first experience with this game.
Well, a few kinda did, but they're in my top 2 through 5 lol
