The M.U.S.C.L.E Wrestling Nes game that is based on Kinnikuman. Never knew that game was based on a legendary long running anime and manga series that inspired many shonen manga: Dragon Ball, One Piece, Jojo, FMA, Fairy Tail etc.

Now that you mention it, the NES Pro Wrestling game also featured characters inspired by real wrestlers of which I had no idea back then. And the final challenge character (Great Puma) was based on Tiger Mask

I don’t think I’ve ever played an anime game without already knowing the anime it’s based on.

What caught my attention was how similar the voice sounded to Masako Nozawa’s. The singer even has the same last name, but there’s no relation between them.

I played Tenkaichi 3 without having watched Dragon Ball, I went online and found out... it was based on a super long tv show. After finishing the game, I watched all 3 shows at the time, classic, Z and GT.
