The tittle says everything. Here mine.

In The elder scrolls 4 oblivion if you give a piece of bread to Salmo the baker
(this guy)
OB-npc-Salmo.jpg

he goes to the inn and crashes the game because I think he wasn't programmed to have bread in his inventory because he is a baker

Well that was interesting, that just makes it more important to know
Mine is from Super Mario Bros games, you won't get bigger with mushrooms after you already took it (except mega one)

Really cool fact! Speaking of the mario sprite. I always found funny that in the Sharp X1 port of Mario 1 the game freezes a lot triying to load the animation when mario gets bigger ?

Good question.

^ above is a boss item you get in momodora reverie under the moonlight.
What are boss items? They’re OP items you get if you beat a boss no damage. They’re basically your reward for mastering or perfecting the game. I get them on each playthrough. They’re fun to mess with. This one essentially completely breaks the game. Just rains stuff on enemies. There’s no item with quite the same scale so it’s unique and can really mess your brain once you get it cuz nothing is like it.

Now momodora is a game where every pixel counts, every centimeter matters, no space is wasted and everything is carefully thought out.
howver if you use the item in this one extremely specify area, like no other room in the entire game (and believe me, I tried)

It crashes the game.
I thought that was hilarious.

I still need to play those games. I have them on steam but I only have played a little of 3. But now because of this fact I want to play them more ?

There is a Diablo 2 easter egg in the original Final Fantasy 7
in the final dungeon you get an item called a Save Crystal that you can only use once anywhere in the caves to create a save point and save the game.
If you do it in the right area your location will display as "Secret Cow Level" a reference to Diablo 2

May as well share another one I like.
Black armor zero is meant as zero’s answer for X constantly getting his own armor.
The armor debuted in X4, via a complicated cheat code.
The armor does make zero stronger. Especially in X5.
In x4 though? It’s just a color change.
Amazing armor.

To think that probably in an alternative universe we got this instead of the black armor

It's supposed to show some conection not revealed at that time between zero and Dr Wahwee

One last useless fact on my part. In that Sharp X1 mario 1 port that is on fire, in some blocks you can find the Sunsoft mascot that Bee you always see on their logo. It's a useless fact because it does nothing when you touch it

A company logo mascot appearing in a game? Why, that’s just like my favorite obscure game, Sega Fighters Megamix! Where if you play for 84 hours, you unlock the Palm Tree in the Sega AM2 logo.

It's a Diablo 1 reference. The rumours on how to access the Secret Cow Level were pretty wild - anything from clicking the cows in Tristram a specific number of times, messing with Adria's cauldron, glitching through a town portal to using Map of the Stars (a scrapped item and remnant of a time Blizzard thought putting a time limit on beating Diablo was a good idea, it's only obtainable if you hack it into the game via a character editor). Blizzard themselves referenced the rumours in Starcraft before deciding to run with it making the level real in Diablo 2. Diablo 2 came out in 2000 so it would've been impossible for FF7 to reference it.

My slightly off-topic addition to the thread (NSFW): N-word owns two porn movies starring Ron Jeremy. They're called Super Hornio Brothers 1 & 2.

I guess that in the movie you mentioned. The protagonist has his last name the same as his name just like the main inspiration "Mario Mario and Luigi Mario" ?

You can power up forever in Threads Of Fate (as long as you have the cash). There's no level cap.
I would kill for a release of that game. At least one can play it on the vita that's why it's a great console.

In shining force 1, in the first town if you wait until an NPC walks between the guards who block you from leaving when you get close, you can leave town without recruiting the initial party members and start playing solo. Wow!!

I found Interesting that the game doesn't destroy itself because of that, unlike other games like Pokemon. Maybe the game had the option of going alone before the developers cut it

Very true that’s a good point. Pokémon has so many exploits that break things. Camelot made some good stuff!

I know tons of these for Sonic 1.

In this part of Marble Zone, you can actually break every one of those grey blocks (plus some additional ones below) with a single jump. If you do, you gain an immediate 10,000 points and a free 1-up. Nice!

Also:
  • In both the first and third Special Stages, you can get to the area where the Chaos Emerald is without touching the controller at all. Just don’t press anything and you’ll end up next to the emerald, though you’ll need to maneuver Sonic to it manually once you’re there.
  • Labyrinth Zone was originally supposed to be the second level after Green Hill Zone, but they changed it because it was too difficult. This is why both levels have totem poles and statues — LZ is supposed to be “below” GHZ.
  • There are two versions of Sonic 1 with slight changes. In the original U.S. release, Sonic dies after being hit by a spike, then falling into another spike. In the later Japanese version, Sonic has invincibility frames between spikes, so he doesn’t die immediately if he touches two in a row. This was an incredibly contentious point in the classic Sonic fandom during the 2000s, and you can usually tell the quality of a SEGA collection by which version they use (typically the JP one).
  • You have ten chances to get all 6 Chaos Emeralds — 2 for each zone — but you can’t access Special Stages after Star Light Zone Act 2.
  • Sonic was originally meant to be a lighter shade of blue, as seen in the original Dreams Come True promo material, but he was made darker at the very last second because you couldn’t see him against GHZ’s sky. In Sonic Adventure DX, the 8-bit version of Sonic 1 uses the original colours.
  • Plugging Sonic 1 into an S3&K cartridge gives you the Blue Sphere level select screen, letting you choose between a cool 16^10 levels at your leisure (as opposed to the pre-programmed single level that every non-Sonic 2/3 Genesis game gave you). You can’t play as Knuckles because his sprite effs up the game’s colour palette (though one of the Sonic Mania developers did prove this could be done through crafty ROM hacking).
  • Sonic 1 and Phantasy Star 4 use the same sound font, so both games’ music and SFX sound very similar.
  • The GBA port of Sonic 1, Sonic Genesis, was developed by an uncredited American company. That company? Why, it was Digital Eclipse, who now make all those Capcom classic collections. Neat!
There are probably lots more, but these were the first ones that came to mind without googling.
