Supposedly Koji Igarashi hated the Saturn version of SOTN, or so I've heard. We got a "director's cut" here, which included a different version of Maria as a playable character than the Saturn version

I mainly used the Saturn for all the amazing Capcom and SNK fighting games ports and also the great library of shmups it has.
But if we talk about "exclusives" probably Princess Crown, Sakura Wars and Shinobi Legions.

I'd say that all my favorite Sega Saturn games tend to be fighting games; the Saturn was amazing for all sorts of fighters! But my favorite fighting game on the console, I would say, is "D-Xhird."

Panzer Dragoon seems to be the most popular overall, doesn't help the 2020 remake is not considered good do people prefer to ho back to the saturn version.

Yes there is a PC port but is quite old so it doesn't run well on modern versions of Windows.

Really, the Saturn is a boon for fighting games, arcade games of all genres, 2D platformers, 3D racing games, and shumps of all sorts.

Criminal that nobody has yet mentioned Saturn Bomberman though.

An incredibly charming Saturn exclusive that’s probably still the best Bomberman game ever made. Full story mode with co-op, a challenge mode of 100 floors, and an up to 10 player battle mode. It’s freaking nuts!

I just looked up Zero Divide - The Final Conflict and I am now so mad I’ve never seen it before. Plays like Virtua Fighter but has mech-like characters that can be shaped like dragons and insects?! That sounds amazing! Plus, it runs at a solid 60 with detailed worlds… from a third party developer.

Actually wild that I had never known this game was on the Saturn.
