There are a few cool ones on Android, like MD.Emu and GenPlusDroid.

You may wanna try stuff like Genecyst for an old-school feeling, but I wouldn't recommend it as an every day thing.

Yeah Bizhawk works great, especially when playing Castlevania Bloodlines
There's some slowdowns of course but it won't interrupt the flow as much

I've been using ares. I've had some problems with emulating SMS with it, but Genesis has worked great so far.

Kega was great, but severely outdated. Best MD emulator is Genesis Plus GX. In the past GX had issues running some Sega CD games, but it has all been fixed now.

I use whatever batocera Linux throws at me XD - which is usually Genesis Plus GX.
Or for weaker hardware Picodrive

I like Genesis Plus GX in Retroarch, it supports a lot of SEGA systems, and I need something like that with how many systems they kept releasing.
