Indie What is the best indie game you played

I got another one here, Pryite Adventure 2. Not the best one I’ve played but it’s fun! It’s free too, only thing you have to buy is the episode noob dlc
But it’s on Roblox so I don’t know if it counts or not.

Hard to just pick one, but I would like to say Ready or Not.

And what a roller coaster it was: "influencer" were saying it was an unfinished mess that would never release for years while they have a really strict NDA. Then the early access that I loved and played a lot until today with a console port (and hopefully a physical release) on the horizon.

This may sound crazy, but off the top of my head, YIIK I.V is my favorite RPG and it's really not even close. Otherwise, I've gotten quite a lot out of games like Binding of Isaac, VA-11 HA11-A, Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, Spark 3, UFO 50. I have a really hard time picking a plain favorite... feels like there are some important games that are just eluding me at the moment...

Also, I really have ought to play Disco Elysium already. I've had it on Epic for 5 years now, I've just never gotten around to it.

Besides the big ones like Hollow Knight, Shovel Knight, Axiom Verge, and Sea of Stars, some of my favorite indie games are also

Chained Echoes
Gravity Circuit
Infernax
Fell Seal
Monster Sanctuary
The Messenger
Minishoot' Adventures

Remothered Tormented Fathers is the best indie I've played. My favorite games are survival horror, but after PS2 I rarely play a game of this genre I considered satisfactory, and this games is one of them.

I haven't played many indie games, and the first ones I even don't remember, early 2000s stuff.

But what I remember as one of the funniest things is Garry's Mod. It's hilarious and I had a lot of fun with a friend back then.

sanctuaryRPG Black edition been my companion ever since i played it

and been a great testament to how bigger doesn't really mean better

I feel like best indie is a bit of a broad category. You might as well say favorite videogame considering how many indies are out there at this point. I'd have to say the most memorable for me would be Hollow Knight, Undertale, and La Mulana. There are so many more good ones though.

If you know me, this isn't what you'd expect my pick to be but Spark 3 was just such a pure joy to play. Just wish it was harder.

One I got a couple of months ago before Fatal Fury City of the wolves dropped, was Diesel Legacy.
Like Fatal Fury of old, 2D graphics with 3 plane fighting... AND 2 vs 2 matches. I was very impressed how well the characters are animated.
