What is the best arcade chain to visit for retro 80-90s games

There really isn't any.
There is if you have a TARDIS!!! lol

But seriously some places on Earth still has arcade chains especially in Japan. Other places in other countries are more like one place dedicated for arcade rather than a chain. Sometimes in old public places you can see arcade machines but that's it I guess.
 
Implying there are still 'good arcades' at all without being crammed full of elitist trash that ruin the gamer community and identity for us all, let alone 'good arcade  chains' anymore
 
Round 1 is the only existing chain I'm aware of that still carries arcade games and not just prize-catchers/VR stuff. And of course there's Galloping Ghost in Chicago.
 
Panama Barcade which is a Bar but at the same time it is an Arcade Zone of the various Arcade Games of the '80s and '90s but the bad thing is that it is located in Bajo Boquete, Boquete, Chiriqui, Panama and that is over there in the interior and I live in the capital (Panama City).
 
There's a couple arcade locator maps out there, at least for the U.S. Mostly they work to find places with arcade machines, less so actual arcades. Outside of museums/museum adjacent places like Funspot or the Strong Museum of Play in Rochester, NY, most 80s-90s-style arcade cabs are just scattered around in places like pizza parlors and bowling alleys. Barcades can be good to check out, if you're comfortable in a bar atmosphere. Round 1 afaik is mostly modern stuff, but I've never had the opportunity to go visit one, so take that with a grain of salt. If you really want the arcade environment, you're going to have to look for weird local/indie spots (though be safe of course! if it seems sketchy, it probably is). I don't think there were really even any national chains back in the heydays, mostly just local chains at best.
