What's so interesting about these games? I'd like to get into the series before the new game comes out, that'd be cool.

I'm not really into Sims-like social simulation games but trying something new wouldn't hurt, would it?

It's a silly god-sim where you can create anyone. It's pretty bizarre and quirky compared to similar games and have funny mini-game esque design moreso than actually caring for your little Miis like you sort of have to with The Sims, which I think makes it stand out. I just also have a fondness for Miis in general.

It's really, really funny if you embrace the humor. Part of its charm is that a lot of the conditions for events are random so seeing your Miis form complex webs of relationships with minimal input from you can create some really hilarious situations.

I am sure that a lot of people like me got into it when vinesauce did a let's play of the series:

I love Tomodachi Life! I got it for my little cousin a few years ago and watching the whole thing unfold was insane, a lot of the characters created in his playthrough ended up developing their own lore and moving on to appear in other games, like the time he made a whole PES team with all his favourite Tomodachi Characters in it or the many Royal Rumbles in WWE!

It's amazing, simply one of the best games in the 3ds and I would recommend it to anyone, I have nothing but fond memories of it and everything related to it.

The same appeal of any other life-simulation game: Voyeurism. No, seriously. The creators of The Sims, Maxis, has acknowledged this several times and I think Tomodachi Life has a similar appeal. In other words, only in life-simulation games can we fullfill our fantasies of watching Markiplier date Hatsune Miku.

I would say its like Sims but without all the complexity. Nintendo did their magic to simplify the game's design and make it funny. Having Miiverse also helped a lot because you can trade miis with your friends and see what they do in your game.

Also, nice Shenmue icon. Fellow Shenmue player here.

is this mobile? Cuz if it is can I have the down load please?

It’s been said, but this series is all about making characters. I know many people who would create their own OC’s elsewhere, but would then put them in the game just to see how they would interact… to a degree.

The game(s) is/are beloved by many people, specifically those who want something more socially focused and sim focused, while keeping a quirkiness to it that is unique.

I think the dismissive tone isn’t needed, but yes. Its target audience is girls in that age range of their early teens.
And many of the people who played the 3DS entry back in 2015 are much older now and are vocally online, so that’s why you hear about it so much! It HAS been ten years, after all.

Nah, they’re pulling out Miitopia, which filled the void left by Tomodachi Life for some people. It’s Switch only.

There WAS Miitomo on mobile, which you can look up yourself! But, it’s defunct. Came out before Mario Run and before most people even knew. Nintendo made mobile stuff. It wasn’t much, but it was still sad to see it go.
