What is "love" to you?

You have Megumin Misty of course you won't be sad!
I love reading KonoSuba light novels, just referenced Megumin to someone, as a joke.
The ironic thing I have passed, thanks to KonoSuba!, was one moment of my 10 loneliness/solitude years, someone...
Called me "Yunyun".
Without saying anything, truly annoyed, I punched him at his face.

I am still the chosen one, even if certain people who were meant to be like a brother to me, not to mention a mentor, betrayed me along with my supposed lover and turned against me! FIRE HURTS, YOU PRICK! ::angrygenjin

Yet even now I see how you are teaching me..... for anger leads to hatred, and hatred is power.

Love is just a chemical. We give it meaning by choice.

It's like warm apple pie.

...Wait, that's something else entirely.

It's how I feel about @King Koopa ::heart

There, NOW I'll get some apple pie.

An appreciation of something. Whether thats your favorite piece of media, your soul mate, friend, foe, utensil, activity, etc.

We choose who we love.

What is love?
Oh, baby, don't hurt me
Don't hurt me, no more

Interesting question.... love is giving without losing yourself, caring without compromising your values, mercy, respect, and sincerity are the key parts of love.
In my culture, love comes in levels or (مقامات) in Arabic, Love isn't equal for everyone, but it's a must for some for example the love of a child to his mother is a must, always listening to her and be by her side even if she treated you in a bad way, you must always love your mom and have mercy on her even if she hated you, mercy is a type of love no one talk about really, but it's an important part of loving someone

True love is when it feels like you're the only two sane ones. Feeling seen by, and feeling as though you understand someone on a deeper level than previously thought possible.

Yes, all of perception is created in our bodies, yeah everything is meaningless. I'd go a step further and say nothing inherently is itself, everything is just a stimulus we've all agreed to collectively name.
But then, if inherent meaning indeed is nonexistent, then whatever meaning we ascribe to the world around and inside us is meaning enough. At least in my view.
Does a paper cut hurt any less just because know it's an illogical chemical reaction to an injury that will not end your life?

Love is also when you get no miss in Radiant Silvergun level 2 without even trying.

I believe love is the most important thing in the world but you can't describe it, you have to experience it yourself.

It's...a lot of things. Not an easy thing to sum up. There's the scientific, biological view. The spiritual view. There's a psychological aspect to it too.

It's a word that is rather broad in its meaning.

I will just say this. To me, it's the most important thing in life and the closest any non-atheist can come to understanding God. If people put love as a primary focus in life, we'd have a lot less problems in the world.

Genuinely liking something—that's love to me

love might be the most difficult but at the same time easiest thing a human being could experience through out the years of their life, to me who didn't reach even 20 i understood half of the meaning and felt it. i learned that when you love someone, you just wanna do anything for them and ready to support them, you and them are loyal to each other like you wouldn't sell them for another person no matter what, respect each other even if its far different from you, opening up to them let them know what's on you mind and heart and allow them to do so.

and i know for a fact that if you lose them you'll feel like you lost part of you and everything turns black and white, taking years, months or maybe never to move on but to be able to do so you gotta love yourself

We only live once and when you love someone you can't find someone else same as the first person you love

Love is a set of emotions and behaviors characterized by intimacy, passion and commitment. It is expressed in many forms encompassing a range of strong and positive emotional and mental states from the most sublime virtue a good habit and a deepest interpersonal affection to the simplest pleasure.

Tricky question. The way I see it, I have two answers for that question in mind:

  1. The greatest emotion there is, a sheer force that transcends logic and words, that weaves through every part of our lives. It's that amazing, fuzzy feeling born out of mutual respect through understanding and genuine empathy, an emotional connection on a much deeper level, and tender care for your friends and loved ones, or the passion you burn for that acts as your driving force in your life. That hopeful feeling when you wake up in the morning and look outside, being reminded that you should be happy to live in a world where the sun can always shine.

It’s the quiet strength that pulls you through difficult times, the comfort that settles your mind when everything feels uncertain, and the reason you keep believing even when things don’t go your way. It teaches patience and compassion, it humbles you, reminding you that to care for someone deeply is to open yourself to vulnerability and trust.

It exists with meaning through the smallest of gestures, the way someone listens when you need to speak, the way a friend stands by you when the world feels too heavy, or the warmth in a stranger’s smile that somehow brightens your day. It’s the invisible thread that connects us all, reminding us that despite our differences, we share the same longing to be understood, to be valued, to be loved.

Love is not always grand or loud; sometimes it’s quiet, almost unnoticeable, a hand reaching out when you stumble, a soft word of encouragement when you doubt yourself, a simple look that says “I’m here.” It’s the force that gives meaning to our existence, turning ordinary moments into memories worth holding onto.

And when you feel it, you realize that love isn’t something to be possessed or defined. It’s something to be shared, something that grows the more you give it away. It lives in every heartbeat, in every moment you choose kindness over indifference. It is what keeps the world alive, what keeps you alive. It's that gentle, radiant reminder that even on the darkest days, there’s still light, there’s still warmth, and there’s still love.

depends on what love you mean.
Love for your children is a wonderful thing.
Love for your hobby is a nice thing.

Love for a girl or a boy is pointless shit that will leave you for the worse and make you a shittier human.

Love, biochemically speaking, is the human body’s version of an unstable colloidal suspension, much like whipped cream. Which is why when I say pretty please; I say pretty please with whipped cream on top

This surfaced again so I'm gonna say I love my boyfriend, ok that's it
