What if Wesker died in the Spencer Mansion?

A forum status gave me an interesting idea for hypothetical scenarios: which events in Resident Evil would be drastically altered if Capcom had kept its main villain dead in RE1?

I imagine RE5 would practically not exist.

RE 5 is definitely the one that would be most impacted. Though RE 4 is an interesting one due to Wesker's involvement with Ada. It's been a while since I played 4 but I believe she was working for both Wesker and some other organization. So I guess she would still be there if Wesker wasn't around to send her since her other employer would do so.

Code Veronica I am a bit uncertain on since he wasn't there for much of the game but his confrontation with Chris here is what would lead to the biggest alteration in my mind. It's a joke at this point but the whole idea that Chris beefed up by the time of RE 5 was because he saw Wesker's new powers in Code Veronica sounds plausible. So I guess Chris doesn't hit the gym if he has no confrontation with Wesker here.

I would have to imagine Spencer might be the big bad going forward in the series since Wesker isn't around to kill him. At the end of the day the most unfortunate thing is that we wont be getting any boulder punching in this scenario.

I imagined that other villains would eventually stand out (perhaps Alexia, the Cult of Las Plagas, and even The Family would fill the voids that Wesker left).
