i just want to play what ever's better. i don't care for RetroCheevo's for it.

both can play up to PS1 games. so i'm just wondering if anyone owned any of these and have there thought's and input's for it.

This is not a system I would buy if I care for PS1.
If you care for PS1 get something with dual analogue sticks.
That's my opinion.

As for which one is better I don't know. Would need to compare hardware, software and price to decide sorry.

Without testing any this is what chatgpt said if it didn't hallucinate:

i have both and they are both really good (and equal imo)
& i dont think analog sticks are necessary
unless you wunna play ape escape or armored core hacks
personally i prefer d-pad for ps1 games anyway

i might go with the

Miyoo Mini Plus +

seems longer battery life is the way to go IMO. but yeah i forget PS1 had those dual analog sticks for some games. maybe i'll just stick to handheld systems for this only or any system that does not need sticks.

I couldn't decide on something like that every handheld has its charm but when I think about it the PSP and the Nintendo Switch are great in my opinion but again it's a matter of taste .

if i could get a vita again i would... but i'm not going shell out 200 dollars right now for one.

Mm+ is good but I'd rather have a horizontal form factor. It's not comfortable for anything that uses shoulder buttons.

I don’t remember what it was called but I had this handheld with this same layout, loaded with roms but had an analog stick

there is also a new miyoo flip V2 that is a clam shell style version with thumb sticks
and apparently this 2nd version is really good

I'm a fan of my Abernic RGCUBEXX, although I wouldn't mind having the RGCube straight system to emulate ps2 games (the XX stops at ps1)

I don't really sell myself into getting these handhelds ever considering PCs are just my go to in terms of emulating everything, but if I ever feel like one of these handhelds has gyro built into it and it's developed with Windows, I might get one of those. WarioWare: Twisted is one of the games I wished to emulate on PC without many issues, and I cannot do that even with trying out patches to make the D-Pad do all of the heavy lifting, like with Rhythm Heaven DS Touchless.

yeah the xxcube is nice! also cheap but solid little device
gb & gba games look really good on the square screen
and i dont mind playing with bezels on ps1
but for PS2 im seriously contemplating the new rg406h
but then for just a little more you could get an RP4.. or 5
atm anbernic is pumping out new models almost monthly so maybe ill just wait a bit

Malkavian (Insane):
The PSVita... my tiny, battered sanctuary in a universe gone mad. When the world turns dark and the power flickers, I clutch it like a lifeline, a portal to a fractured reality where pixels dance and sanity slips away. It’s a relic of innocence amid the chaos... a beautiful, broken toy. Meanwhile, these monstrous mini-computer handhelds crawl out of the abyss, devouring minds and crushing dreams. But no, my PSVita still whispers secrets only I can hear, a pocket-sized fragment of sanity in a universe unraveling at the seams.

i got offered this mini miyoo plus but i can't tell if there's scratches on the screen.

i can get other images if needed.

I wouldn't play the PS1 on either of those, but I remember someone making a rather through review of The Misadventures of Tron Bonne (PS1) using a similar system, so it IS possible to get some PlayStation gaming in with them.

ok i'm going handheld only systems along with SNES GENESIS NES MASTER SYSTEM and other retro system's i can't recall. i need to be cheap sadly....
