I've got a short list of about five hundred or so I could recommend. Platform, genre, etc would go a long way in narrowing it down. In the modern era my go to suggestions are DMC5, Armored Core 6, and Half Life 2 Orange Box. Most low end rigs can handle them, they're excellent titles, and you can easily find them legally or pirated depending on your preferences.
