What game is this for you?

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion are both regarded as the best in the franchise by some, but I never could get into either of them. My favorite is still Morrowind.

I still have moments of fun in GTA V, but compared to the rest of the series I've had a lot less fun in that one compared to really any other game in the franchise. The biggest part of that is having to play the stock market to make any reasonable amount of money at all combined with the actual competence of LSPD making the core gameplay activity of going on insane rampages for no reason a lot less fun.
Same experience with Skyrim and Oblivion. Fell in love with Daggerfall as a teenager and then enjoyed Morrowind, but after that I just lost interest. Can’t even put my finger on what it was exactly, but I didn’t ever feel that same spark again.

I gave Hades a chance. I didn't have the patience to learn its gameplay. Every few minutes, there would be an enemy with a laser weapon that seemed to go across the entire screen. There would be spike traps and mines that just kept getting in the way. There would be options to increase stats, but I never knew which one was best, so I just guessed one out of three. I figured out ways to increase the main character's life meter, but I never found any healing items.

There are "peak" games from genres I dislike.

I don't like stealth, so I never got into Metal Gear or Hitman.
I don't like roguelites so I never got into Binding of Isaac, Hades or Slay the Spire.

Too many to mention, but I've also loved games that weren't exactly considered peak and I've decided video games are much like music and humour, way to much nuance to our preferences to enjoy everything considered brilliant, and even at that said brilliance is subjective when applied to many aspects of a game, though there is genuine merit to the objective good of course, which I can admit when something is really good but not for me.

Taste accounts for far too much of far too many things, especially for me.

Hotline Miami and Katana ZERO were two games that everyone praises and I just could not enjoy them for the life of me. They both seemed really cool and up my alley, but whether it was "don't get hit" gameplay, or it was just kinda repetitive? I ended up refunding the both of them which was really unfortunate.

GTA 3, San Andreas and 5
Metal Gear Solid 1 and 3
All Call of Duty
Minecraft
Nordic God of War
Soulslike in general
Turn based games in general
Horizon zero down
All PS3 Resistance and Infamous
Monster Hunter
Skyrim
The last of us
Uncharted
Devil May Cry 4

I feel this is 100% subject to change, but Mega Man Battle Network. I love RPGs, even ones with more action and less turn based stuff. But BN's system of tiles and switching is just hard for me to get used to. I have never made it very far in the first game past like the first 2 arcs. I also kind of fail to pursue a meaningful goal when there's no exp gain, even though I'm sure it's one of BN's strengths. Maybe it just has too much tactics involved for me to really love it, I don't know. I say this is subject to change because I still feel like I don't really get it.

Undertale

I'm sorry but both it and Deltarune are just Earthbound games if they were made by a bunch of tumblr users.

Not really into pokemon which is strange cuz I remember getting my username from pokemon showdown...

Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Hated it, did not enjoy crafting having such a heavy emphasis.

Persona 4.

I just couldn't click with the game at ALL. I tried so many times with different versions but it is just my overall least favorite of the entire series.

First of all I’d like to say: Never fully dismiss a game. There were certain games that people mentioned that I didn’t enjoy at first either, but I gave them another chance and eventually they clicked for me. Now I’m completely hooked.

That said, for me it’s the first Rayman. It might be the difficulty, but I think it’s also the level design. Even when I finally make it through a level, I don’t feel rewarded enough for the effort. Maybe it’ll click for me someday. Sorry fans. 😅

Oh boy to many to list to many to get the Inquisition on me back.

Without le nostalgia googled Halo 1 I did not enjoy it and don't think it aged that well, besides some stunning levels.

Same with Halo 2 it was suffering for me but I did it.

La Noir (Was never my cup of tea)

Hmm.

Resident Evil 1 I tried but eh.

Ridge Racer type 4 was it I think

Probably more that I don't remember now.
