DQ 8 is cream of the crop. I remember laughing when a character died for the first time and I was dragging the coffin around, wasn't really expecting that.Quite a few on the list for me, but man if it had to be any of them I think Dragon Quest 8 would definitely be a top contender for me. It was such a whimisical and fantastic journey and since I played it before i really had access to the internet I went through my first playthrough pretty much never knowing what was around the corner. Loved the characters, the world, the exploration, and the combat.
Not VII? That's not a common opinion I come across.DQ 8 is cream of the crop. I remember laughing when a character died for the first time and I was dragging the coffin around, wasn't really expecting that.
Depends. The original PS1 version is a pain to play despite looking great. The 3DS version I find a lot more playable thanks to offering more guidance, but I still think DQ8 is superior. Not VII? That's not a common opinion I come across.
I think 7 has a more interesting story, overall. Not as memorable characters.Depends. The original PS1 version is a pain to play despite looking great. The 3DS version I find a lot more playable thanks to offering more guidance, but I still think DQ8 is superior.
The plot in DQ7 is smartly put together, I suppose. With the setup being as it is, the game is free to throw a lot of micro plots at you with each new area, rather than one grand sweeping tale. That's a merit for sure.I think 7 has a more interesting story, overall. Not as memorable characters.
Never understood that. Maybe I'd been spoiled before I played it. I dunno.dark cloud probably. first time playing was like an awakening.
