What game do you wish you could play again for the first time? And why?

Devil survivor, it's my first exposure to atlus and tactical jrpg especially it's auction/fusion mechanic that's what made it unique

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - I was fortunate enough to receive this game for Christmas. I remember after the festivities ended and everyone else went to bed that night, I stayed up playing the game. The games somewhat spooky vibe was heightened while I was playing that night. I think I defeated Gohma and stepped out into Hyrule Field before finally going to bed for a few hours lol

Deus Ex.

Wait...err...(looks at real world events)...i'm not too sure now.

Jokes aside (my apologies if not funny) getting to discover the world and characters again in Deus Ex would be great, from a gameplay perspective. Closest I got was the Revision mod, which is probably the best way to replay the game again.

I wish i could erase my memory every time i play Killer 7, it's a masterpiece in my opinion.

Same goes for many others like FF 8 , Shin megami tensei Strange Journey, Katawa shoujo, Hotel Dusk, Vagrant Story, Zone of the enders, etc.

Dragon Age origins. Replayed it recently and it was still as good as I remember though nothing could replicate the feeling of playing through it for the first time. Playing it for the first time I had no clue as to how to make a character with a decent build and proceeded to spend points in random skills( which caused me to get my ass kicked by some of the bosses). Still loved every minute of it. Finishing the game for the first time and listening this song in the credits was something else.

Man, Oneshot was such a great game for me, kinda slow, but the end and the alternate route is just intriguing. I loved how they use the 4th wall to make you another character and making the Niko character feel more real without being "OoOoOo THE GAME KNOWS YOU ARE THERE OoOoOoO SPOOPY"

Without a doubt the answer would be the majority of old Bioware games. Like KOTOR 1 (because of that iconic plotwist), The Mass Effect Trilogy, Jade empire and DA Origins.

Another one would be Transistor (the music in that game is so good 🙂)

Also, Tunic.
Its one of those "the less you know the better" games, so its never going to be as good as the first time.

Star Ocean Until The End of Time
Not because its a good game, its pretty bad, but a youtube comment spoiled the plot twist for me. (youtube comments have spoiled me SO MANY TIMES ARGHHHH WHEN WILL I LEARN NOT TO READ THEM)

Final Fantasy 7, probably. It was my first RPG and it left very strong impressions in me. I genuinely hated Sephiroth for a long time, despite the fact he's just a fictional character.

Quite a few on the list for me, but man if it had to be any of them I think Dragon Quest 8 would definitely be a top contender for me. It was such a whimisical and fantastic journey and since I played it before i really had access to the internet I went through my first playthrough pretty much never knowing what was around the corner. Loved the characters, the world, the exploration, and the combat.

DQ 8 is cream of the crop. I remember laughing when a character died for the first time and I was dragging the coffin around, wasn't really expecting that.

Alundra.

The Best Zelda game you never played.

Not VII? That's not a common opinion I come across.

I think 7 has a more interesting story, overall. Not as memorable characters.
The plot in DQ7 is smartly put together, I suppose. With the setup being as it is, the game is free to throw a lot of micro plots at you with each new area, rather than one grand sweeping tale. That's a merit for sure.
