I loved Shrek throughout the films.

The films themselves might slowly have become self-parody (when they started off as parodies of what Disney was doing at the time), but this dude is always worth a laugh.

I had this Shrek 2 game on GBA, and I actually recall it being quite fun! It was just a standard platformer, but, y’know, it had nice graphics and sound. I must have seen the ending screen, where Shrek and Fiona return to the swamp in their little pumpkin carriage, a million times.

I don’t like any of the movies, though. ?

He's kinda like the cliche fat goofy, happy-go-lucky bear of a guy that I could just picture sleeping peacefully after a long day of finding food and eating it. A good guy, generally, and unassuming like his nature.

He just happens upon adventure by circumstance, otherwise would be perfectly fine living in the swamp and woods, getting by daily with the same routine.

It's not a bad archetype, the Average Joe, the Generic Good Guy. But so not my type!

shrek was one of my childhood films, love it. though i never understood the uh, lets be nice and call it a fandom, that sprung up on the internet around it

honestly dreamworks was peak in general for a kid, i never really liked the disney movies except for like 4 of them (brother bear, lilo and stitch, treasure planet, and Atlantis the lost empire)
