Here’s what I think are the worst endings:
Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood
The Last of Us Part 2
Sonic 06
Mario Party: Island Tour
Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly
SpongeBob: Creature from the Krusty Krab
Iron Lung
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Shadow 05
Mass Effect 3
Halo 2
Crash of the Titans “Good” Ending (DS Version)
Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric

Dungeon of Windaria (nds)

The game has a great story, and i love the gameplay!
But it somehow feels completely unfinished!
And the ending is the least satisfying ending that i ever seen in a video game! 🙁

Sly 4 Thieves in Time
Beyond Good and Evil
Paper Mario: Sticker Star
Mega Man Legends 2
Star Fox Command (The First Ending that you get when playing the game normally)
Clock Tower: Ghost Head.

Define "worst", because if you want a genuinely shit ending, you have Takeshi no Chousenjou (NES). Purposely badly designed and to be as frustrating as possible game, and the ending is just one-line that Leon from RE4 would pull.

If we're going "moral", probably Armored Core: for Answer on the Oldking/Destruction Path ending. As you literally commit war crime (killing 100 millions innocent lives on the Cradle in one of the mission preceding the penultimate mission). It was so out of the line that your personal operator ditch you and hunt you down (in Hard Mode).

The ending to Disco Elysium left me extremely unsatisfied, falling far short from the quality of the rest of the game. Before beating the game, I had figured I would do another playthrough immediately, but having experienced the ending I don't care to play it again.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II

The endings are gimped to seconds cutscenes. Like with Rage.

Also from what I've seen, The Last of Us Part II's ending. It's a very bleak anticlimatic ending.

Need for Speed Carbon, the PSP version. It was recommended to me through this forum, and it was definitely an enjoyable game. But the ending was rather dubious.

After waking up with amnesia and a murdered brother, you race through the city on a quest for vengeance. Only to discover that you, in fact, killed your brother, but that's okay because he was apparently not very nice.

Assassin's Creed 3 for me. I know the modern day sections in those early games were a hit or miss for many but I genuinely liked what they were setting up. Then 3 came along and squandered all that potential after which I lost any interest in the modern day and eventually the series as a whole. It also had to do with how they handled it going forward in the later games too by not properly following up on 3's ending . As much as I like Black flag the first person modern day sections really hurt the pacing of that game.

Deus Ex: Invisible War.
Was there any ending in particular you disliked or did you find all of the four endings to be underwhelming ?

Witch's House. Holy fuck...
Turns out you were the witch all along and that's putting it lightly.

Was it because of the cliffhanger? If so then I would agree with you for the most part. As someone who played Halo 1-3 after they had already been released as opposed to having to wait between releases I didn't have much of any issue with 2's ending but I can understand why some would especially at the time. Halo 2's ending seemed to me to the type that's better in retrospect when the entire story has been laid out. It's something I have seen the middle chapter of some franchises struggle with.

Ghosts n Goblins on NES. Mostly in relation to the absolute pain it was to beat the game twice. I don't remember exactly, but it was basically, "Congrats, please start over again!"

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II

The endings are gimped to seconds cutscenes. Like with Rage.

KOTOR 2 was so disappointing. The game was clearly unfinished. As soon as you beat the boss, just credits. I remember sitting there confused and thinking, "That was it?!"

God of War 3. hate how they tried to make Kratos seem like he was the hero all along despite pretty much bringing about 5 consecutive apocalypses out of sheer pettiness.

yeah, i never got why halo 2s ending gets so much shit.

Hmmm...... too bad for me the only one that i can remember from the top of my head right now is Scarlet Nexus's Ending.

Like it just makes me goes "The hell man?".

Another one probably, though this is not a Console/PC Game so i dunno if y'all good with or nah lol but definitely Zenonia 5 for me.

MK Armageddon

When you defeat Blaze and your character does some kind of gay dance while the story of your character gets narrated

Can't think of one on top of my head, but for now I can say,
Call of Duty: Ghosts.

Also offtopic, but GOATED PFP Fellow Dunkey Watcher!

Every one that I thought was bad, you've already mentioned XD, except FNaF: Security Breach. All of that game's endings are terrible to me.

Witch's House. Holy fuck...

AND DAMN.....this games makes me traumatize ;-; SINCE I READ THE FRICKIN MANGA!!!!!

All of them were distinctly underwhelming, but the Omar and anti-modifications ones were just horrible.

The One from Mafia The Old Country,Man I wished 2K Games fixed the ending one day in a new update
