What Do You Guys Think About Living In A Foreign Country ?

Home is where all my games and other stuff is at, nothing will convince me to ever leave it.

I'd be confused but if I don't quit the continent would it be foreign enough?

Mate my country is syria I left at 6 and spent all my life in jordan borders on borders but I will never be a Jordanian citizen , hope to get back home to a place you actually own people who talk your dialect and honestly pleasant faces to look at for the most part people here look like they want to kill you ::biggrin

I'd leave this icy hellhole full of stupid, ugly people in a minute, preferably for somewhere I can earn a wage that isn't collected in Monopoly money. (Actually, I think Monopoly money is worth a lot more than the Canadian dollar, these days.) I have zero allegiance to Canada and would sell it and its people out in a second if I could. Sorry, leaves – I know some of you are good people, but I doubt the smart ones would disagree.

Canadians unfortunately aren't high-status enough in foreign countries to reap the benefit of being Westerners among non-Westerners, so I doubt I'd really accomplish anything by living in a place where English wasn't the dominant language. (Also, I make my coin exclusively through use of the English language, so I'm kinda F-ed if I can't speak and write with it on a daily basis.)

I like living in big, open spaces with few people around, so most Euro countries are out, and Japan and South Korea are going to be foreigner central within 5 years, so there's very little need for me to live there, either. (I've even kinda lost the desire to make the pilgrimage to Japan for a visit... it would have been a lot more appealing pre-pandemic.) I know a lot of koo-koo white people these days talk about moving to a South American country and living like a king, but I dunnnoooooooo... that's a little too brave for my bones.

I guess that leaves the U.S. (preferable, ideally in an always-warm low-pop state), the UK (sadly, I don't think I'd ever want to live there, despite loving the country's culture), Australia (probably quite neat, but has its problems and is very remote), and New Zealand (see Australia, though I'm sure the people in both places are lovely). I suppose living in one of those crazy Asian hub countries like Singapore, Hong Kong (well, heh heh, not anymore), or Macau would be interesting for a few years, but I could never see myself relocating there permanently... Based on all these criteria, I think my ideal living space is a private colony on Planet Mars. Elon, if you're reading, I'd like to volunteer for the next SpaceX expedition, please!

He’d probably send you to South Africa lmao

That's another thing that kind of terrifies me; running into a famous person I care about. I don't know how I'd react, or how they'd want me to react, but I don't think the odds are very high that those are the same answer.
I had the advantage of it being a proper Meet-and-Greet sort of event with a line and all, so I knew it would be fine, and I still clammed up a bit when it was my turn.

I've bumped into a couple celebrities who live or come from nearby before, like Randy Orton, but I'm always too scared to try approaching them. The anxiety is super real.

I've heard a lot of things about how certain cultures will be nice and inviting to your face, but secretly judging and kind of hating you behind your back. I know a lot of that is older generations of certain cultures, and only some people, but it doesn't help the paranoia. @_@
Meeting famous people isn’t as worrying as media makes it out to be, they forget about you pretty quickly and are used to someone being nervous, as long as you act firm and smile they’ll smile back.

What I want the most in life. I always felt alianated by my own country's culture, never felt like I belonged anywhere, so moving out and leaving all behind is like a dream for me...

Well I live in a rural town in Tunisia ,Poor conditions in all cases ,well I just accepted it now the African immigrants has been added to the mix a lot of mugging and stealing and house breaking ,and I really can't sleep well these days and my eyelids start fidgeting in their own fr and police are 100% useless since basically most of them joined through bribery
Well to answer you question I will leave this shithole as soon as possible

Moving in a different country is a good choice only if you were born in a communist shithole.

I like the idea of visiting one but living in a different country might be too big of a change to me. I also don't think I'd want to live so far from family.

My main problem is kinda with my shithole city rather than with my country, so first things first I guess lol. I'm sure I'll go live abroad after I get enough work experience though. I've chosen Japan because I love the country and the culture, also the food! Food culture is a really important factor when choosing where to move imho. I couldn't imagine myself living anywhere else lol. Western culture and values as a whole don't fit me anyway imho. I got a lot of time ahead and I don't wanna spend it living in the same few places I don't even like lol. And just traveling wouldn't satisfy me, it's not the kind of experience I'm looking for.

I'm going to visit Japan eventually to see how I like it. I've been watching travel vlogs and keeping up with Japanese news for the past year or so because I want to move there. My country was once great but no longer is, and Japan seems to have everything I'd want in a country. I won't look forward to the earthquakes and tsunamis, but everything has a price.

Same. Also some countries are great for visiting. But moving there isn't always the best choice for everyone because of the huge differences at the daily lifestyle.

I'd move to Scotland if I could.

Unfortunately Japan (at least at big cities) is now getting as bad as Western countries thanks to "multiculturalism" and the current prime minister of Japan who's a filthy globalist. Murdering Shinzo Abe was anything but accident seeing how much Abe cared for Japan and especially during Covid lockdowns all over the world.
True, I've had enough of cities for one lifetime. I'd like to end up somewhere like Sendai, beautiful countryside about 4 and a half hours from Tokyo, meaning you could take the trip on a long weekend if you wanted. Being so rural also means avoiding Japan's over-tourism problem. I definitely miss Shinzo Abe though, felt like he really had Japan's best interests at heart.
