i just found out i got depression and my passions won't really help me out that much rather than play, watch avgn and drink tons of chocolate milk in order to lighten up lol so i figured it'll be bit of a relief and learn how you do things to bring that smile on your face, it makes me feel that i ain't alone

so let's see what makes you smile

Retro FPS games, baby.
EDIT: And also comfort shows like Futurama and Red Dwarf. Forgot to mention those.

Listen to music, mostly. I can't get much enjoyment out of gaming if I'm sad.
yeah i sometimes get this, i always have my earphone on

I can't really game if I'm sad. Usually it's music and watching long form YouTube videos to totally shut my mind down. I also clean a lot. I haven't been clinically diagnosed with depression so it can probably be much harder to get out of a funk especially unmedicated.

I put videos or music in the background and keep doing things. For me, anything that distracts and blocks the sad thoughts does good enough.
this is nice, it's good you know what keeps you going!

yeah i get what you mean, having a bit of move is good too so i gotta say thats really cool

UEI try to distract myself by watching movies or playing any game. I asked my father to pass away last year. I always show up at RGT to laugh, I try to distract myself without anything, I accept so much that I don't have time to write the story of my life.

i'm sorry friend, i hope everything is good with you

I can't say I've ever come across anything that directly improves my mood when I'm genuinely sad as such, but I've found a couple ways to indirectly influence it.

Tiring myself out by doing sports or Yoga, going outside for a while, cooking and/or eating a really good meal or, even better, meeting up with friends and socializing. That kind of thing.
Whenever it works my mood improves without me even really noticing it.

Other than that once I recognize the thought patterns that indicate to me that I'm crashing I tend to try and ignore whatever pops into my head and fill my time with distractions.
Movies, videogames, chores - anything to keep my mind occupied until the wave crests.

Ótimas escolhas! :)

Sinto muito, amigo, espero que esteja tudo bem com você.
EThat's life, nobody's okay forever. I'm on vacation, I passed the year, I finished high school, and I'm looking...I also have my problems, and I have to take medication to stay calm.

Concordo, mas você precisa pelo menos ficar feliz por estar vivo de vez em quando, isso me mantém equilibrado.
OThank you for talking to me.

For the terminally depressed, sadness often becomes an addiction. People seek comfort in it because it becomes a personality unto itself. There is comfort in sickness. I'm always sad and I know of no way to change my situation, but making music helps. Something that provides vibrations to your soul. Shrooms are also a good choice but using drugs to cover the hole in your heart will almost always backfire. Try dancing. Or prank calling a relative.

Coma bastante comida boa (nem sempre comida saudável, apenas comida que te faça sentir bem a curto/longo prazo), faça exercício, tome banho, jogue e descanse bastante
TambémI also agree with that, my dear friend and mentor.

I don't know if I ever truly feel sad (mostly just strees I think), maybe a little melancholy but not too sad. I'd try to ignore it if it starts bothering me though, or doing something like religious stuff (reading the Quran and praying), playing football and games, drawing and other distractions definitely helps

Well atm im not doing so okay. New medicine and well first 2 weeks will often make it worse before it become better. So this week I been near constant tears.

I listen to music. Normally I wouldn't tell my family but sometimes I'll tell them a little bit. Eating a good meal can also help. Also a hot bath can help a lot too.
