The hate towards X7 is due to many factors, mainly the complaints are about the change to 3D or the story and that X is not playable at the beginning, but as such the game is neither bad nor good, personally it entertained me a little but I have a problem with how slow the game play feels, I would still play it again

Yeah I've always felt that people simply hated it for committing the sin of having 3d gameplay. Once you know what you're doing it's actually pretty well designed as this player shows.
