What can be called a Remaster that still keeps the original art style and graphics?

I've noticed that some remasters are basically like a higher resolution and wide-screen patch plus some added QoL improvements (like being able to have a minimap or even being able to have more save slots) which is different from some cheap texture and model upscaling that clashes with the art style.

Think of how some Doom (or other retro game) sourceports allow smoother framerate and 4K resolution while still being the same game fundamentally speaking.

Not something like that

In short I want the same game but that can run nicely on current hardware rather than a game that looks like it's made from clay.

Almost anything by Tengo Project remaking 16-bit games. Pocky n' Rocky: Reshrined, Wild Guns Reloaded, and Ninja Warriors Once Again (Ninja Saviors) come to mind. Those have the benefit of adding new animations and being in HD widescreen with beautfiul looking pixels.

Odin Sphere Leifthrasir retained all the good parts of the original (art, music, story, gameplay) while adding nothing but QoL improvements (skill trees, revised item management, etc.).

And I haven't played much of it yet, but I like the direction they took with Star Ocean: Second Story R. The art style and graphics have certainly changed, but the remake still feels like the original somehow.

Red Dead Redemption on the PS4. I think they ported the Xbox 360 version of the game, and didn't touch the graphics that much.

Maybe they could be called +PLUS games like how many arcade fighters in the mid and late 90's that were converted to PlayStation or Sega Saturn had the game and its graphics all in but has added new features to make it have more fitting for a home console experience.

Soul Blade and Street Fighter Alpha 2 come in mind for me.
