I'm feeling a twinge of nostalgia for PS1 era polygons lately, so that gets my vote. Or you could make it like Evoland where the art style "evolves" as the game progresses

32 bit. And just a suggestion, I think it'd be cool to see transition it transition from 2D to 3D in some areas (either a drawing or pixel style)
