Giftpia
There is a fully translated script but lots of trouble marrying it to its base game.
It broke my Chibi Robo fan heart when I found that out.

Too many to count, I wished a crap ton of games got English translations, some of the coolest games I wanted to get into aren't in English. I wish I knew or had a guide on how to translate games, I also wish I knew Japanese lol!

recently i started playing the "art truck" series (something dekotora), PSX, PS2, NDS... incredible games they are, every version they make a different game and all of them are good. i'd like to see them in an "at least readable" language.

having a translation, at least on the menus, would be enough for me.

Brave Story: Wataru's Adventure

Gunparade March and Gunparade Orchestra trilogy.

Probably already been posted, but Cowboy Bebop: Serenade of Reminiscence.

Gundam: Lost War Chronicles, and Blue Destiny Trilogy

Apparently there's a Puyo Puyo RPG on the 3DS. Would love for that to get translated

Are those Nomura designs?

The Twilight Syndrome series. They are Clock Tower-like Horror games, putting it in a very tl;dr way.

Shadow Hearts II Greatest Hits. The OG game was translated into English, but the Greatest Hits has new content like a dungeon where you control 3 of the antagonists.

At this point I'm beginning to think SMT Devil Summoner patch just isn't gonna happen D: but hey maybe one day

All of the ‘Hikaru No Go’ Ps2 games but I’m more interested in ‘Hikaru no Go: Heian Gensou Ibunroku’

1747287928838.png

The fullmetal Alchemist Wii games, and ‘Fullmetal Alchemist: To the Promised Day’ for the psp

The ‘Spectral Force Genesis’ series

I’d love to see more Ps1 visuals novels and horror games translated

Quoting other games I dream of getting translated I’ve seen mentioned

Gunparade March and Gunparade Orchestra trilogy.

I wish more Princess Maker games got translated. PM2 on PC is the only one I have found in English.
I want the Ds one the most

A saga of games who only have been released in the comiket like 15-20 years ago named "Omega no Shikai"
I don't have a clue of what happen in those games, looks like a Tsukihime-like game. But probably I will die without knowing.
The art is nice though.

Im a big fan of Koei, so any of the Daikoukai Jidai games we never got to play out here in the west, same with Ishin no Arashi on NDS, or some of the Taiko Risshiden games..

I also wanted to play some of the Fist of the North Star super famicom RPGs. Another Franchise i really enjoy was the River King fishing games. A couple got released in the west but not all of them. Im especially interested in the ones they released on super famicom and PSX, like Umi no Nushi Tsuri ,Kawa no Nushi Tsuri etc..

The main PS2 Super Robot Wars titles, Impact, Alpha 2, Alpha 3, MX, and Z. MX being potentially one of the longest JRPGs ever made does not help it's likelihood of getting a fan patch at all. I feel like Z or Alpha 3 are the ones most likely to get TLs since other entries in the Alpha and Z series' respectively have gotten fan patches but I'm not sure.

man.. i would love to play some of those. It annoys me how people went and translated the OG games. Whole point of playing these games IMO is to be able to play as the robots from all of these classic japanese tv shows, hear the theme songs, look at their specials etc.. Couldn't care less about Banpresto's original creations. Don't get me wrong, Super Robot Taisen Original Generation on PS2 isn't a bad game, but without the licensed content, it feels like something is missing from the game.

Do I ever hear that! There is a TR5 translation floating around out there, but I don't think it's very good. Ishin no Arashi also got a partial translation on the Nes.

I've actually been doing work on TR3 for windows. I managed to make a no-cd crack, and reverse engineered the dat files and the text from the main executables - I made a dumper and an inserter for those, and tested it out with dummy text and machine translations, and got it all working.

There is still a lot of text I can't even find which I assume is compressed (everything else is bare SJIS). On windows as a platform, I don't know how to get a good enough debugger setup, so reverse engineering a compression algo is a big ask... I haven't totally given up, but it's on hold, and I think I'll focus on consoles for now. Too bad too, because Royal Blood 2 is stuck on windows (that's gemfire 2) and I haven't even been able to crack the CD check successfully on that one.

I'm currently working on a GBC game, Pocket King. I'm getting close to (I think) and then I'll be looking for another project. I might go for Soldnerschild for psx (another untranslated KOEI rpg where you are a German mercenary leader or some such). If I can figure out pc-98 romhacking Progenitor is also stranded over there, with Daikoku Jidai in space vibes and light-gun segments (KOEI really goes all over the place!) and that dope pc-98 music, too. There's also Kamigami no Daichi on pc-98.

So, if you like, tell me what console (ps1 and earlier plz) based KOEI stuff is top of the list for you and I'll throw it on my pile to consider for my next project.

Daikoukai Jidai IV: Porto Estado
Daikoukai Jidai Gaiden
Sangokushi V
Taiko Risshiden (Mega Drive)
Taiko Risshiden II
Taiko Risshiden III
Taiko Risshiden IV
Just also Throwing angelique Special because i think it's a progenitor of the otome genre, yet also a good counterpart to the mainline strategy games
Nobunaga no Yabō: Haōden
Nobunaga no Yabō: Tenshōki
Nobunaga no Yabō: Shōseiroku
Nobunaga no Yabō: Reppūden

I dont know where else to ask this, but I also dont think it warrants its own thread. I mentioned Unicorn Overlord earlier on here, as it's fairly notorious for having an innaccurate translation amongst purists. Same with 13 Sentinels. But how are Vanillaware's older games?

I'm especially curious about Grimgrimoire, and Odin's Sphere. Are they accurate to the original Japanese, or do they have the same issues as Unicorn Overlord and 13 Sentinels? Thanks in advance.

Odin sphere was published by atlus in the west which is known for their translation quality in the ps2 era (usually) so odin sphere is probably fine, can't comment on 13 sentinels.
