What are your gaming translation white whales? Games you want to see translated but feel it'll never happen?

Didn't expect to hear that, in Italy it was translated more than 20 years ago. Usually english translation has the priority when it comes such things.
Actually as far as I know in the 80s I think a lot more anime and manga made the rounds in certain European countries. At least i'm always hearing about how certain 70s and 80s anime were big hits in France, Italy, or Greece. I assume being more lax with the violent and sexual content compared to america played apart.

Yeah but some these have translation projects right now like ys iv mask of the sun - a new theory

Shin Megami Tensei - Devil Summoner for the Saturn - iirc the last major SMT release that has not been translated yet?

Niongyo no Rakuin for PS1 - I love more modern-setting rpgs and horror games, so this seems like a really cool Lovecraftian plot I'd love to play through. Love the art style and really baffled why this never saw wider release or translation.

London Seirei Tanteidan for PS1 - charming art style and animations. They're something that is supremely endearing about Japanese stories involving Western cultures., The translation effort isn't dead totally on romhacking so here's hoping I can try this someday.

deSPIRIA for the Dreamcast - what a fascinating premise and gorgeous and spooky art style. Would really love to play through this someday.

Oh how i wish this were translated, not only is most of baroque's storyline stuck in this thing, i know it has a very poorly and unfinished translation on paper, its such a shame the visual novel genre is so hard to translate man, for the love of Baroque and all that it is, i wish dearly for this to be translated, this game series means to much to me lmao

easy pick, ik it might never get one but a man can dream.. Also all those niche ps1-2 anime games, especially the gunslinger girl ones xD

I'd very much like to have a translation of the Magna Carta portable game of PSP. The PS2 version is localized in English, but it'd be nice if you had a translation to the PSP version, would further increase the reach of this game.

Blue forest story, 3DO or ps1 version, either is fine, honestly any jrpg on the 3DO fits this in some form.
Dragon shadow spell and elvandia story on the ps2 also.
The war of genesis series on pc as well, most people don't even know these games exist.
Cross of venus or something like that? Can't remember what the name is, but it's a ps2 game.
Since they are a lot, I'll just post a list:

KUMATANCHI
Torneko's Mystery Dungeon 3 (PS2)
Dragon Quest: Shounen Yangus to Fushigi no Dungeon
Fushigi no Dungeon: Furai no Shiren Gaiden - Onna Kenshi Asuka Kenzan! (*currently being translated)
Waku Waku Puyo Puyo Dungeon (*currently being translated)
TENGAI MAKYO 2
GUNPARADE MARCH
GROWLANSER
LEGEND OF HEROES 3-4-5
KAZE NO DENSETSU XANADU I-II
BRANDISH 3
BRANDISH 4/VT
SORCERIAN PC98/MD/Original/Forever
Vantage Master Portable
Brightis
Hanjuku Hero 3/4
QUOVADIS I-II

BLOOD+ ONE NIGHT KISS
DOKI DOKI POYACCHIO
Ganbare Goemon - Kurunarakoi! Ayashigeikka no Kuroikage
Ganbare Goemon - Toukai Douchuu Ooedo Tengurigaeshi
Ganbare Goemon - Seikuushi Dynamites Arawaru!!
SENRITSU NO STRATUS
DENSHA DE GO 1/2/3/pro/pro2
JET DE GO 1/2
TORI NO HOSHI
FRONT MISSION ALTERNATIVE
Kurogane no Houkou - Warship Commander
JET IMPULSE
Gaist Crusher God
Yoshitsune Eiyuuden
Spriggan Lunar Verse
D+Vine [Luv]
Kaisoku Tenshi: The Rapid Angel
Mirano no Arubaito Collection
PSYCHIC DETECTIVE SERIES
Endonesia
UFO: A Day in the Life
SAKURA NOTE
CRITICAL VELOCITY
Senritsu no stratus has been a white whale of mine as well, same with sorcerian forever.

For what it's worth, there are translations being worked on for the pc version of legend of heroes either 3 or 4 by the same guys who translated zero, also kaze no densetsu xanadu II was also being translated

Shin Megami Tensei NINE for the Xbox. Despite being the first fully 3D SMT game and arguably the most well-known Japanese exclusive original Xbox game, it has yet to see a fan translation of any kind.
this may happen after giten megami tensei english patch is out

Most of my traditional answers have already been mentioned, those being SMT: Nine, and the remaining Fushigi no Dungeon titles that have not been translated into English yet. I'll mention a title instead that interests me more for its scarcity online than anything else;

Metal Wolf Rev. A visual novel available on both Dreamcast and PS2.

Truthfully, while I have played a few VN's (namely original Tsukihime and Witch on the Holy Night) they are not a genre I follow all too often; that said, I have never heard this game in conversation online ever.

I know the big one for me is Shin Megami Tensei Nine which has been mentioned. Though the other Holy Grail for me is the Ghiren's Greed series. I was shocked when I saw a translated version of the PSP game hosted on here but doesn't look like it's complete.

The Another Century games

Officially, Growlanser 1, and Namco X Capcom - though Namco X Capcom has a fan translation, and Growlanser 1 has one in the works

I'd love for someone to release ACCURATE translations for the Trails series, and Valkyria Chronicles series, because the official translations are garbage.

An accurate translation for Final Fantasy VIII, because that official translation is garbage. Same with Final Fantasy Tactics, and Unicorn Overlord.

Accurate translations for the later Fire Emblem games, because those official translations are beyond garbage.

Do you have any documentation of translation differences, especially for the more recent games? I thought Unicorn Overlord's script was great, curious to see the differences.
