We often talk about gameplay, art style and soundtrack but I believe that sound effects are an important part of a game's identity as much as its soundtrack.

Here's a video about many iconic sound effects that were used both in games and movies.

The slash/dark/demon sound effect in koei's musou series

Always loved this cry.

I love the first Dark Souls' one.

And

All of the Balatro sfx honestly.
The xMult is especially good, hearing that on later Ante is satisfying with the speed up.

The sound Don Flamenco does when he taunts you.

half life 2 stalker scream is so funny to me for some reason, i remember when i first heard it in the game i burst out laughing

I really like the level up sound from Symphony of the Night.

One is the sound of when you complete something in the first Assassin's Creed.
The second is this:
The scream of the rebel soldier is always in my memory ?
Also a special mention to the fuse machine in OG RE 2

Like a mic.

Your signature immediately makes me think of how much I love the announcer power-up calls in the various Gradius games, particularly Gradius 3 SNES.

Shining in the Darkness/Shining Force series : I'm in love with the sounds for the choices/menus and for the dialogs. A pure delight of Nostalgia
