Another relative newcomer to the industry whose work I'm really enjoying right now is GOBERT, the art director for Crown Gambit. (great game btw)
His art feels like European comic book art mixed with vaguely Manga-inspired design sensibilities to me.

If we apply musicians to the conversation of artists, I also really like Shoji Meguro's work on Persona.

I love Persona music so much it has probably one of my favorite soundtracks. I've recently bought a CD with a collection of the live band soundtracks, I highly recommend checking it out.
