What are you playing now? What genre is your favorite today??️⚔️

I need to play more emulation stuff so I can really start doing stuff with Retro Achievements lol.

I’ve been playing a TON of fighting games, but I’ve also been playing a bunch of Dreamcast sports games (NBA2K1, Virtua Tennis 2, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2, Sega Bass Fishing, etc.)
I also just last night played Panzer Dragoon! Pretty sick game. Love the soundtrack of it. I bet you anything that when I play more of it, I’ll fall in love with it.

So, yeah! I’ve been playing and loving SEGA.

Should mention, I want to platform more. I need more cute platformers in my life, but I already have my eyes on some games in that genre that I’ll wait on to get and play.

If I can emulate it, I’m looking to try and play Psycho Fox.

What the heck even is retro achievements?
It’s a website that you can connect to your emulators so you can get achievements for retro games! It’s pretty neat, and can add even more to games you already love!

Oblivion Remastered, Final Fantasy XVI, and I gotta finish Rise of the Ronin before Ninja Gaiden 4 comes out. My favorite genres of late are Beat em Up's, Hack and Slash, and RPG's. But on the RPG side of things there isn't much besides maybe that Clair Obscur game that just dropped. Looks fire.

I play mostly cozy games or Straight up shooter games now, before that i played Strategy games, but now i play them rarely as the consume to much time from well besides Age of Empires 2.So i like to play Rune Factory 4 to relax and i really should continue Harvest Moon Animal parade after god knows who many years.and to Answer the question I played some Warhammer 40k Boltgun today.

BRO BELIVE IT OR NOT I AM ALSO PAYING TONY HAWK PROSKATER 2 AND NBA2K12 AND ALSO PES14 WHICH TIS THE WORST FOOTBAL GAME AND KNOCKOUT KING ON PSP

Personally I have been on a GBA games binge. They fit so well on a small emulation retro handheld and are so convenient to carry and play.
They are also perfect for someone practicing Japanese. Most games have simple kanji and some even option for full kana, like the Metroid games.

Most recently played through the Summon Night Swordcraft Story games - 1,2 and 3 ongoing. Also beat Metroid Fusion and Zero Mission for the nth time.

Just last night I realized that the 3DS is secretly the best place to play classic SEGA games on the go.
M2 went CRAZY making some of the best ports of their superscaler Arcade games and the best of the Genesis, even some Master System ports to the system! Game Gear was on Virtual Console, so some of the better games from that system join the party as well!

I especially love how you can set it so, if the arcade machine moved and had iconic noises it made, you can set it to replicate that movement and environmental noises. It’s the closest I’ve ever felt to the arcade away from the arcade.

Currently working on Blue Prince, the Zelda II PC remake that adds widescreen and a bunch of QoL stuff, and a season of World Series Baseball II on the Saturn. It's nice that it's all stuff I can just put down for awhile if I need to, but easy to come back to without being lost.

Currently? debating on finally slogging through FF7 rebirth or playing oblivion remastered, otherwise i'm always playing the planet crafter.

I think my signature spoils my favorite genre, but if you didn't guess it, JRPG/Action RPG.

Been playing allot of Rimworld lately and some Atelier Marie and Forza Horizon 4

Favorite genre today is still JRPG and Metriod vania games but also damn sucker for survival games and colony sims.
So games like Ateiler, Rimworld, Ark or Conan exile or Terraria or minecraft.

I LOVE YOU TURN BASED JRPGS RRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!
Been playing Lost Odyssey on Xbox 360 which at this point is retro I guess. Just would not love to say it is so. Man the game is intriguing and fun, as well as eye-brow raising when "next gen" graphics contrast with few FF4 style scenes in the story, the maths with enemies and some bosses feel outright hostile and decked against the player, even if they are not anything overly challenging to deal with for a seasoned player, they still feel unfair in many ways. First boss of the game requires just outright luck of "Boss does not decide to decimate you" and I had to see game over for five or six times thanks to that. Though, on Disc 4 of the game you get to power up your characters tremendously, and for me it has been a catharsis like no other since rest of the game is now a solved road I will drive how I want. Just a real case of ups and downs that either was born accidentally with newly formed Mistwalker and Feelplus tackling such a project for first time or Sakaguchi directed the game to be of a higher difficulty level against players that "solved" Final Fantasy games on the regular and did not want that for Lost Odyssey before last parts of the game.

Also, for the fun of it, you guys can have this:

I'm playing the Spanish translation of Final Fantasy VII and I'm on the second disc right now. Playing a fan translation patch due to the original Spanish localization apparently being really bad lol. I plan on going through all my favorite PS1 rpgs in Spanish as it has been improving my reading comprehension and expanding my vocabulary rapidly.

I intend on playing through either Parasite Eve or Final Fantasy VIII this way next lol.

I'm actually on a binge of GBA games myself as well. I just finished Super Mario Advance 4, the GBA port of Castlevania 1, and Zelda Minish Cap. Currently chipping away at Mega Man Zero 1. The RG34XX handheld helps a ton with the novelty.

I’d recommend having a good time in Oblivion! If Rebirth is a slog, it’s worth it to have a game that’s more chilled out like Oblivion, where you have more choice over the kind of character you end up playing.

Currently playing Hundred Lines
I don't remember the last time I was this invested in a game
Looking forward for next TooKyo games releases
(Don't spoil guys I didn't finish it yet)

Currently playing Super Robot Wars: Original Generations for Ps2.
I'm completed OG1 and I'm going into the last bunch of missions of OG2. I got quite addicted.
Finishing up OG2 will unlock OG2.5 and I can't wait to play it due to the amazing units that it features.
Can't thank enough the group that translated it: the amount of text is absolutely staggering and the effort in adaptation is absolutely enormous.
I really hope that, in the future, someone will take up the ordeal of translating SRW OG Gaiden: from what I can read about it the dial of awesomeness is turned up even more than the previous OG games.

Adventure games and survival horror are probably my favorite genres these days.

My favorite genres are Beat em ups and colony sim games. And platformers. I also like RPGs and racing games. Hell, I just play anything really.

Something I'm currently playing through is Phantasy Star Universe. It's something that I've been playing it off and on for a weirdly long time and just come back to it whenever the stars align again.

It isn't great, the voice acting especially is hilarious, but I have a deep fondness for it anyway. I played the multiplayer demo back in the day on the Xbox 360 and would sink hours and hours into it even after it did the like monthly resets, but I always felt like I missed out because I never actually bothered to play the full thing (mostly because I was in my teens and didn't have any job or income and couldn't afford to keep up with any subscriptions besides the Xbox Live one). There is the private server and all, but I've just been sticking to the story mode for now. I'll probably hop on whenever I finish it.

One thing about me is that I always fall for the games that seemingly juuuuust missed their mark. Especially if they have bad voice acting. Phantasy Star Universe was a big letdown for longtime Phantasy Star Online fans and it's mostly been forgotten, especially with the infinitely more popular Phantasy Star Online 2. The PSP spinoffs of Universe are actually also way more popular. I still think that it's pretty fun, warts and all, and the music is surprisingly just pretty stellar???

It's a total 6/10 game and I just adore it.

Age of Empires 2 and Rune Factory 4 are such good games to just lose yourself in and relax with. I've played through RF4 especially like ten times over at this point.

Clorica is best Waifu in Rune Factory 4 :) In my Humble and rightful opinion
Clorica x Me (lest).jpg

And Age of Empires 2 stands supreme above Age Of Empires 1,3,4 till this day,its and Strategy game but a match is quite quick if I don't play defensive :)
