When i plan out a long play session, i always try and keep snacks and drinks that help me stay focused and relax.

My combination are easy to digest foods like:

Dips like cheese (the garlic and herb cream cheese usually).
Crackers
Sliced carrots
Sliced cucumber
Sliced peppers

Drinks, large 5 liters of water with powdered vitamins inside, which make it taste like mountain dew. One does contains the daily vitamins for most.
I also drink a bunch of Lucozade mango peach sugar free energy drinks.

Some others i have spoken to like theme foods and drinks, depending on the game. But if a long hall RPG with a ton of grinding, i find the above works for me.

What works for you?

Nothing at all, just water, and far and away from electronics.
How long do your play sessions last? For me, once all work is done, i put in like 6 - 8 hours.

Please tell me you at least visit the rest room every now and again?

Usually I like water, Dr pepper, and xxtra hot cheetos when I'm gaming. Especially if I'm grinding in a rpg,I have to have snacks lol.

I don't snack or keep any drink. I have to get up every hour or so anyway because I have a bad back and I just get restless, so I'll go to the kitchen to get some water or go to the bathroom. Gaming doesn't affect when I eat.

Drinking water. Trying to maintain my diet, don't want to get fat again, haha.
Keep it up, i believe in you!

Water and some nuts or raisins. Those cracker snacks are a fast track to diabetes.

You only have yourself to blame, you masochist.
Too late, already have it, been for 20 odd years. But the "crackers" are made of Topico starch and prawn. So low GI.

I used to est healthy shit like you. Green Pepper/Cucumber with dip combo goes insane. I need to get back to that. Lately it's been the 10 year old fatass combo of soda and chips. Gotta be done with that. I'mma die at 30 if I keep on.

I also require booze when gaming ^_^ I don't snack.

I don't need to >_> :loldog
Ginnus?? As that is the only way i see you taking on calories and vitamins. Is there another alcoholic drink that can give you nutrition?

Well i am close to 50 and still rocking because of the healthy stuff. I believe in you and i know you can do it to!

The hard part will be getting over the salt and fats, and they overload out taste buds and then we crave it with healthy food not filling (satiating) it. It is a trap, a tasty trap!

I hear that, moving aroud is super important, but when i get a really interesting game session going on an RPG, it can be hard to get up. I may start setting alarms so that i move around once every hour. As i think that is what used to be published on games back in the day.

"take a brake from gaming every hour to rest your eyes" or something like that.

Do you think the alcoholism and the diapers are related?
lol, I wish it was. I would just stop drinking, if that was the case. I need them during the day/work when I am sober. I drink an average amount imo, but yea, fair point, alcohol is definitely not improving my health.

lol wut? Alcohol is a poison, you can't make it healthy >_< And no, if you meant "Guinness" I don't drink beer, too many calories.

No greasy nor soupy/liquid heavy foods near a gaming system controllers, keyboard and mice suffer quite a lot with those.
Liquids I tend to either go for hot beverages, cocoa, coffee and tea most of the time or booze, Scotch or Irish whiskey and beer of any kind mostly.

Thanks for confirming, as i was unsure. I know i have been told Guinness is supposed to be healthy, so i was wondering if you where of like mind. Thank you for confirming that is not the case.

I agree that generally alcohol is a poison if consumed, but traditionally it is a cleaner and disinfectant (dehydrates and brakes down cells) and depending on stregth can have a high evaporation rate.

If consumed, my understanding is that it numbs the nerves (drunk )in large amounts, and once it wears off, the knock back is a production of cortisol which can overwhelm a person if too much of it (it is a growth hormone in response to stress and healing from my understanding), especially during rehab, which is why a professional is needed to monitor such things. (easy to fall in to, hard to climb out).

Beyond that, l i have been known to cook with Alcohol and it can complement a dish well if heated enough to leave flavor, but the dish is not alcoholic. I admittedly have been known to drink one glass of red when i have a heavy meal. I am told red and white are healthy in little amounts and helps with digestion?

But beyond that i have 99.9% Isopropyl, which i used to clean circuits.

Alcohol like anything is fine in moderation. But is easily addictive because of that feeling it gives you. I drink occassionally. Usually for special events or the odd hangout session. But you gotta keep control. I make it a rule that I order water alongside the drink and make sure there is a bathroom nearby so that I can at least flush sone of it out of my system. My Bio-Grandpa's side of the family is full if drunkards, so I have to be careful. Alcoholism runs in my family. And I quite like the taste and burn of liquor lol.

Water, tea, and sunflower seeds.
I love sunflower seeds and pumpkins seeds, but i have a hard time cracking them open, as my partner only buys the shelled ones. Says they taste better, they are her thing, so i cannot argue as she buys them..... I just eat them >_>

For drinking, it's water.
For eating, it's carrots.

Unless I'm partying.
Then it's whiskey for drinks and whatever I can cook in a wok or airfryer to eat.
If I'm really drunk, it's just whatever I can microwave to eat haha.

Nice, since you air fry a lot, can i ask if your seasoning stuff to go in there when it is ready?

I am an air fryer person also, and i am always sticking sweet potato, parsnips and the like in plastic bags with spices and leaving them in the fridge for a day or so before roasting them in the air fryer.

I have also done this with tofu and meats when i can get some.
