Eastern Youth - Kakato Naru

Discovered them either last year or late 2023 when I was feeling pretty down. It’s a Japanese emo band (though they started out as a punk skin act way back when) and the raw emotion in the vocals, the gritty instrumentals and sad melodies really resonated with me, especially when I read up on the subjects they tackle.
The language barrier makes it even better, I love listening to music in languages I can’t understand because it makes the ”emotional” resonance even bigger sometimes!

I loved listening to Tomoyasu Hotei's music since I discovered his song スリル (Thrill) in the Nintendo DS rhythm game Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan!

Right now, I am listening to Psychopath (1987), an album from when he was in the band Boowy. My favorite song on there is Liar Girl.

Have you ever heard his cover ersion of Starman?his english is pretty good tbh.
