It's kinda weird that old games used to have pirate ship and whatnot levels that I cannot make sense why like there was no other level idea to come up with like factory and whatnot levels lol.

it's in a theme park. :) The pirate ship like the cave with the alien monster are part of the park's many attractions.

I can't recall the associated bit of the game super well because it's been 25 years, but Rhapsody on PS1 has pirates who sing a little jam:

I think Suikoden had some parts with pirates. Mostly just posting to see what other people say because Im having trouble remembering.
