So, I've been thinking of just going on an eventual full binge of the anime I personally love, but with the caveat of starting via my number one favorite of all time.
As a 90s kid, I didn't grow up with much anime since as a kid, and my earliest memory of my "first anime" was one of the later episodes of Iria: Zeiram the Animation showing on air. When did move to our new home back in I think it was 1998, Fox Family had a short lived segment from 1998-2000 called Made in Japan were I was exposed to Monster Rancher and Digimon.
A few months later we got Comcast, and it was due to that older version of Comcast back then I remembered it had a section dedicated to anime and when I watched Record of Lodoss War and fell in love with it. Later on, in the 2000s, Cartoon Network had Toonami and I was exposed to a lot of other anime, such as Sailor Moon, Mobile Suit Gundam Wing and including Dragon Ball Z (and later on Dragon Ball?).
So, with that in mind...
What is you're Top 5?
for me it's:
1. Record of Lodoss War
2. Outlaw Stars
3. Tenchi Muyo!
4. Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team
5. Gunsmith Cats
Now, obviously my list is heavily 90s era and you are not limited to 90s only. So, regardless of WHAT era, what's yours?

Despite it's obsession to make strange scenes almost every few moments, I still love the Monogatari series to this day, Nekomonogatari remains in a solid spot in my top 5 due to how much i relate to, and love Tsubasa Hanekawa. Her acceptance of all of her evils and stress is just real heavy stuff to me. Monogatari Season 2 is also in my favourites when a particular liar takes up narration ...

Kill La Kill is something I can never let go of. I think the second half of the show starts to constantly repeat itself on occasion but i'll never forget how much I owe to that show, I was going through the worst stomach-ache in existence years upon years ago. But the sheer distraction that the anime provided almost felt like it removed the pain from me because of how wonderful every frame was and how it never really stops being what it is. I got a wooden replica of Ryuko's scissor blade from a con recently and i love it.

Then there's Cat Soup, a small movie which was a fever dream to me. Not only did it embody a murky yet endlessly fascinating philosophy welded into it's scenes that have no voice acting in the slightest, but that small film sticks with me to this day. I love showing people it, I love rewatching it. Hell I just love thinking about it.
R.I.P "Nekojiru" I wish I could have spoken with you for many nights and given you comfort before you took your own life ...

That being said though, my top 5 would look something like this as of right now:

1: Space Runaway Ideon
2: Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt
3: Cat Soup
4: Nekomonogatari
5: Kill La Kill

Log horizon, despite the later seasons being weaker than the first it still one of the anime I love so much I rewatch it probably every year.

So here is my list

1. Log Horizon
2. Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun
3. Rokka no Yuusha
4. MaoYuu
5. Mondaiji tachi

5. Kiniro Mosaic

I still love Karen, she was my favorite from the anime aside from Yoko.

  • Aria The Animation.
  • Kaiji Ultimate Survivor.
  • Ef- A Tale of Memories + Ef - A Tale of Melodies.
  • Hajime No Ippo.
  • Toradora!
No particular order.

Sailor Moon is forever my top 5. First episode I saw was the first episode of the series and I loved it since then. I have a huge collection and still pop on my DVDs to watch all 200 episodes through at least once a year. Greatest anime of all time.

In no special order:
1. Casshern sins
2. Eureka Seven
3. Ouran highschool host club
4. Code geass (the whole series)
5. Gungrave

In no particular order:
- Mobile Fighter G Gundam
- FMA Brotherhood
- Jungle King Tar-Chan
- The Big O
- Chouja Raideen

G Gundam is my all time favorite tho, my profile pic was made in homage to one of Domon's poses after all xD
