What are some addicting and/or very fast passed games for the ps2?

I'm just craving something that makes me feel addicted or that I'm doing too much at the same time. Lol

For the latter, shoot em ups sound like that. Dodonpachi Daioujou, Espgaluda, Gradius V, Shikigami no Shiro, Psyvariar, Homura, Mushihimesama, Ibara, Twinkle Star Sprites Le Petit Princesse, Gunbird 1/2, Strikers 1945 1/2, Sol Divide and Dragon Blaze, Gradius III/IV, Raiden III, R-Type Final and so on.

For the former, there's a very wide range of variety so the ones I think of are GTA III, Yakuza 1 & 2, Puyo Puyo Fever 1 & 2, etc. I had a brain fart as you can probably tell

I spent lot and lot of hours with "Need for Speed Underground" (I played it on pc, but it's on ps2 too), my first NFS!

not sure if this would count but i got pretty hooked on the YF6 minigame in yakuza 2

Twisted Metal: Black. Fantastic game and it's speed always keeps you on your toes. It's also pretty damn difficult, but worth it to see all the character's stories and unlock the hidden characters.

Zone of the Enders 1&2. The first one is fast paced but isn't terribly unmanageable. Things really ramp up for the sequel though. Baddies coming from every angle, always outnumbered and some really intense boss fights.

Devil May Cry 1&3. Much like ZoE it's a very intense series with lots of hectic fights and tough bosses. Especially 3. Amazing game but it does not fuck around.

Shinobi & Nightshade. I've played a bit of them and while they are super neat, they are a little too hectic for me. x) You do need to get good, but it feels really badass when things go right.

Smuggler's Run 1&2 were always favorites. Lots of different modes and it can get super intense at times. There are some really great police chases to be had, while doing a bunch of other stuff. Too bad the series is way past dead. Why would Rockstar make anything than Grand Theft Auto or Red Dead Redemption anymore?

Samurai Western. Really unique and relatively short PS2 action game
