Recently watched Whos afraid of Virginia woolf and Opening Night. Wanting more films that are emotionally draining and never really let up.

Haven't seen any lately but usually Slasher and Suspense films. Oh, and Disaster ones too. My mom screams at the screen when she's hooked. That's when you know it's good. Haha. ::winkfelix

Not sure I don´t activly go out my way to watch that kind of movies I watch Comedy, Action, Sci-fi.

Sure I watched emotional movies like the pianist or Schindler's List which both are GREAT and emotional but the are more gripping story telling instead of trying to be dressing as fuck.

I WILL NEVER understand why people are so damn horny for sad/depressing animes or movies like if you wanna be sad and depressed your self just read the news and live in real life which is sad and depressing enough to last you a life time.

I want escapism so I want animes and movies that makes me laugh or feel good or feel engaged not sit there and cry and regret my life decisions.

Titanic because i took a girl to the cinema and i was the one ended up crying lollll i loved her pity shes in australia now. We were close never have company like her again at 3 in the morning.

Grave of the Fireflies is like a must-watch, but it's such a bleak and depressing movie that I probably can't stomach ever rewatching it, especially knowing what happens.

I also remember watching Downfall at like 14 and thinking it was an incredibly heavy watch. I do want to watch it again as an adult.

Also Elephant. Scared the hell out of me watching it at 16-17 and leaving a huge pit in my stomach.

Might be obvious but End of Evangelion is a doozy. Ain't ready for Freud and orange juice.
I would've also said the same for Audition (1999) but I don't know how I was able sit through the whole movie, torture scene and all ::bonzistares.

I was going to mention Grave of the Fireflies. They call it the best movie you will never watch twice for a reason. I still have not managed to watch it again.

Another pick would be Requiem for a Dream.

I've seen Grave of the fireflys twice. I love it but I prefer Barefoot Gen personally. My favorite animated film of all time is The Plague Dogs though. Also enjoy When the wind blows.

I like tension yo. I like all kinds of films but I really appreciate films with a certain intensity to them. Maybe i'm weird though because films don't fuck me up the way they seem to do others lol.

Funny Games (both versions) and Dogtooth come to mind. Hereditary was pretty draining, too.
Am I bad person for finding Funny games... funny lol?

If you liked Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf, I can strongly recommend Long Day's Journey into Night (1962).
