Well, they don’t “brick” it per say, more so restrict access to online features and the eshop.

I didn't want a switch 2, I wanted a switch pro ;w; now they've made a whole new platform that costs more with games that cost more. The only saving grace for me being that switch titles are still compatible but ffs I cant afford a switch 2. Guess I'll be playing prime 4 on the og switch and missing most the rest of this generation until it's twilight years when I can maybe get one on the secondhand market for something semi-reasonable

Next, they'll be saying "Where is Switch 3?" and when Nintendo announces the new console in the next 5-8 years with a new name, fans will go outrage again. Or when fans keep asking when a Direct is happening when "Rumors" pop up saying it will happen after a big game release and later it becomes either a Partner's Showcase or Indie World in which fans just leave because when those two presentations happen, they keep asking for Little Knightmares 2 release date. They will never shut up!

I care less about the actual game system and more about how they are treating their customers. Most agree that you should not get insta banned because someone wanted to troll you by sneaking a mig switch into your system.

Think about it. Why would an asshole kid not bring a mig switch with them to try to get other kids systems banned? Peak comedy for an asshole!
