What aligment do you usually go for on Megaten games?

You mean Satan right? In SMT 2 you can get Metatron normally through fusion you don't need to be on the Law route, only law or neutral aligned.

Neutral, solely because you get to fight everyone in that route.

For the games I did finish I played both chaos and law (In SMT 1 specifically to test the law rite fix too) but it tends to vary.

On my SMT VV playthough I chose Chaos for the first time because Yoko reasoning was on point: the system itself was broken beyond repair and Tao was too idealistic for my taste

Chaos all the way, only times i went for something else was SMT 1 due to canonicity and Strange Journey because Law and Chaos feel like bad endings there and because of you go for non neutrality a revived Gore will clap you with cheap spells and REVIVAL after first defeat, escentially giving himself two life bars

Also Luci's designs goes hard compared to "Wizard of Oz head"

I think Nocturne is the best representation of this. Although you can make an argument that every Reason can be linked to the classic Law/Neutral/Chaos aligment, they are much more nuanced and contextualized and I wished more games used Reasons-like aligment.

He isn't indecisive. On Strange Journey and Vengeance his goals while muddy are well defined, he's only indecisive in IV.

I generally try to go for neutral since it's what I align myself with ideologically, but SMTIV made that hard as balls so I end up going for Law if I fuck up too badly. :c

I was stuck with Law and I did not feel good after what happened with Isabeau. I didn't want to be with Merkabah. I wanted to be with Isabeau, dammit

I don't "aim" for any alignment, I do as I please, most of the time I ended up at chaos,
Several games where there is exception;
Raidou Kuzunoha vs King Abaddon, ended up Law since most chaotic choices are plain stupid.
Nocturne, True Demon ending due to more content.
Strange Journey, Chaos, I'm a simple man, I hear Kikuko Inoue, I follow.

Sure but that’s true of Chaos as well and, in some games, also Neutral. The best of the SMT games make things muddy about the alignments/don’t make them caricatures like SJ and IV do to Law and Chaos.

As a whole, I try to play SMT games by making the decisions I feel I would have made the first time I play them. This tends to send me down Neutral and Law routes most the time. That being said, I definitely have a bias for Law.
