Shit, I hate news and articles that tells the story like how my mother does. First starting from a vague sentence -> and then from its end -> unclear time frame -> it's start -> it's middle -> more detailed start and then it ends... no it didn't end yet so let's be more poetic and dramatic about it -> let's talk about what kind of life the person had -> now it ends lolol.

Long story short:

- Sega guys in UK didn't care what kind of items in their offices were discarded during moving the office to another place. They had no idea of the policy Nintendo had regarding Nintendo devkits that "You should send devkits back to us after you are done with them, or don't let them be leaked and if it has to be destroyed do us by notifying us beforehand with our permission and solid evidence that they are destroyed". Or they had the idea of this policy but the guys who discarded office junk discarded more than they should have. Either way it's Sega's fault, and then it kinda make Nintendo look bad for not keeping their own shit secured too.

- Sega learned about this mistake after the items were discarded and they are gathered by an experienced junk seller™ in UK. Sega were shitting bricks that Nintendo would send ninjas to hunt Sega down. With this intense fear they researched who might got these goods and they somehow found a lead and to test the waters on if this guy has the goods they sent a Sega agent who faked as a buyer to learn if this guy has the goods. After they confirmed he is the "thief" Sega called the cops and said "this guy illegally have our and Nintendo's stuff". Hearing the name of Nintendo, British coppers were like "bloody hell mate" and they even left their tea go cold that instant and sent the whole police force on the ass of this guy's home lolol.

- The junk seller dude treated like he was caught placing a bomb in a school but since he was cooperative coppers thanks him and even gave him a warm tea when he was forced to be locked in jail for hours!! And after a while he was set free. The first thing he did was spamming wall of text "formal papers" to Sega for months but Sega had no means to read English papers and they had to find a decent lawyer who understands such stuff and an English translator. Junk seller didn't care about how slow translation and legal matters take so he was personally offended and during these time he couldn't drink his tea comfortably!!! With a new born vengeance he feels against Sega he broke his Sega games and then he started to complain about this whole situation like a baby to whoever would listen to him.

- As if the whole situation wasn't dramatic already this video game preservation museum or whatever fuckery they call themselves cry hard that "cops will destroy important history of video games!!!". Buuu huuu cry me river. I do like Rhythm Thief pershaps way more than the next guy meself but honestly don't care about some prototype versions at all when its full intended version released so it's not a cancelled game or something so what kind of shit history it's to "preserve" lol. My guys feel entitled to steal company assets just for their obsessive goal wow as if this history BS gives them enough justification like legality to get whatever they want when laws uses the words "thievery" and "piracy" about these lol.

- So, the junk seller™©℗® keeps spamming "but I got all these legally" but when you have a devkit that is clearly sent to Sega from Nintendo but you don't even work for either of these companies you gotta have common sense and realize from the start it's not legal for you to have those. The law doesn't care if you have no idea about law, when you are an adult they expect you to have common sense. In that regard this guy can be very well punished for his BS for getting goods of a company he shouldn't have from the start ayy lmao.
