Were you able to get your Switch 2?

In line at Gamestop, about to get mine! Number 178. Been here about two hours. A friend in Atlanta is number 20 in line and they've only moved 12 people, so I suppose I'm lucky this store is better organized than that one.

fuck no look at these prices I'd have to sell my 8th kidney to buy one

Mario Kart World's rainbow road was so fucking peak. I've never been so locked into a Mario kart race before xD
Agreed! I think it easily outclasses all the previous Rainbow Road courses. I haven't played too many yet but the arcade Donkey Kong course is also super rad.

The thing is, when you buy it early, you pay top dolla and there are very few games. You buy it later on for cheaper with more games that are reduced.
I don't know if the system will be cheaper later, it seems like they've stopped doing that. The launch lineup is definitely pretty small, it would feel bad without backwards compatibility. There are ports of great games available but it needed one or two more new games at launch besides Mario Kart to be a good launch in my opinion.

I was able to get my Nintendo Switch 2 on launch day.

I mean later, well after the launch. Maybe a year or two later.

I don't think it'll happen. It should, and it used to with previous systems, but all of the "value rewards" stopped with the Switch generation. The console, controllers, even first-party games never had their prices permanently reduced, only having temporary sales. No more Player's Choice games or anything like that. I think it will only happen if they vastly undersell on Switch 2 consoles in the first year or two.

not interested, waiting for new fire emblem game to get announce first ::smug

Yeah, I signed up on Nintendo's waitlist the day of the Direct back in April and was able to purchase a Mario Kart bundle on June 5th.

I dont want anything to do with it.

if the next zelda game looks amazing and completely different from the last 2 games i'll get a switch 2.

i'm really hoping fromsoft gets to make a zelda spinoff one day that would revitalize the series way more than going open world.

Nope I don't but console 8th gen and above because we already have many console and computers to play

Yes I own Switch 2 and love it very much:-) I have not used PS4 for long time after I buy myself Switch 2.
I have a laptop as well but I used it to play GBA and Trails in the sky on Steam.

You should just use emulators.

I'm probably going to refund my Switch 2, and get a AyaNeo Pocket DMG. Being able to play almost every PS2, Gamecube, and Sega Saturn games at full speed on a Gameboy format is my end game handheld.

why not the abernic instead?

Yeah, they recently restocked at Gamestop so I was able to get the mario kart bundle. Lots of trade ins and the cost was split between two people so I'm pretty happy with my purchase

I am interested in a Switch 2, but not enough to put any kind of effort into acquiring one. When I can pick it up off of a store shelf and walk to the register with it, I'll buy one. So many great games in my backlog and I'm not in any kind of a hurry.

I'll get a Switch 2 when it has a couple "must play" games.

For example, I got a Switch 1 when Metroid Dread released, because I fucking love Metroid (especially 2D Metroid).
Which worked out great because by then the OLED model had come out.
