I refuse to believe this is done in good faith, it could be any other month.
Its done in good Faith you know how Old this is
Mental Health Awareness Month (also referred to as Mental Health Month) has been observed in May in the United States since 1949. The month is observed with media, local events, and film
so its not meant as a provocation I really don't get how people can see an Attack in everything.

Absolutely nothing wrong with both being the same month. As you said, one doesn't negate the other. And everyone needs some mental help from time to time, be they of any orientation. Never dismiss someone due to who they love or who they want to be.

Because one day, it may be you who needs the shoulder to lean on.

I haven't seen anyone talk about this until 2025, even if it's been like that since 1949, it's still too much of a coincidence. I take men's mental health quite seriously, but this is absolutely spreading by people who don't care about mental health or gay support.

it feels like a very... "make christmas about christ again" kind of thing.

People See Hostility where there is none I could Literally make a Save Puppies threat and People would say you only do that because you hate Cats, its Nuts to be honest.

that's the most insidious part, that's a perfectly reasonable lie to believe about my stance. Men's health is important, you can't argue with that, you look crazy, you look hostile...

meanwhile we got a whole group of people who are complaining homosexuality is destroying the "freedom of speech" trans women are "erasing women." or god forbid... "think of the children"

it's 100% not a coincidence that this month of this year is the time it was "decided" to take an important issue and make it the focal point as opposed to something else. it's very obviously designed to divide people who care about both issues by people who care about neither. was it in may the first year? great, let's celebrate it in May.

I feel Like I am on Twitter right now.One Issue doesn't Exclude the Other Mate, and Nobody here is saying Anything about Homosexuality Destroying Anything here its about Mental Health here for Man,so I really don't know how you get those things here in this Thread besides this Men's Mental Health Awareness Month is not something recent or new.
Technically its even Older than Pride Month so no it was not Created to spite Homosexuals its just to remind people on Mental Health Issues.

I have no horse in this race so I'll drop a few facts and be on my way. In the US men's mental health awareness has been a thing since the 90s, originally as men's mental health week, later extended to the whole month of June. Why June? Because there's a certain day in June that's dedicated to celebrating men - Father's Day which has been observed since before WWI iirc. The original men's mental health week was the period just before Father's Day.

To be fair, other places celebrate men's mental health awareness on different months, with November being particularly popular because of International Men's Day (19th November). You may have heard of No Shave November that's closely associated. inb4 someone calls it No Nut November.

I haven't seen anyone talk about this until 2025
Westerners didn't discover Mt Everest until the 19th century but I'm sure it stood where it does regardless. Just because you've never heard about something doesn't mean it's not a thing or that it's brand new.

Man, the state of Internet discourse has become sad in recent years. Everything is automatically assumed to be weaponized and hostile. It's not even 'if you're not with us then you're against us'. Now it's 'if you don't fellate us and our cause then you must be an enemy and you have to be crushed'

As I said, I don't have a horse in this race. I don't celebrate either month. All I ask is that we stop assuming that just because someone does then it's wrong somehow. Yes, there's a segment of population that will weaponize people's suffering and there's another segment that desperately wants you to believe that everyone does so. The grift mind poisoning is real. Don't fall for it. United we stand. You can celebrate one, both or neither and be cool as a cucumber. Don't let people who are trying to make money on manufacturing your anger tell you otherwise.

@Clippy
See, that's what I don't understand. Most Americans <And I'm American, but i don't see things this way> have this asinine mentality of "everything else must be the same as here." It's not.
Different places do things differently, be it religion, holidays, etc. Why people with literally the entire world's information at their fingertips can't just do a little research and see if something is a fact before going off on a wild rant, hateful, ignorant tangent is beyond me.
It's like if something conflicts slightly with their worldview, it's automatically wrong or bad.

I always thought being an adult was about communication, understanding, coming to a civilized agreement, or politely agreeing to disagree.

But what do I know? I'm the crazy one

its true that most people dont talk about it but thats just because nobody really cares about men's mental health.
we should also note that some countries observe it in different months so it may vary depending on what country you're from.
in my country nobody ever mentions it and tbh i doubt its existence but i support the intention. i think its important to remember men face a lot of issues that they dont talk about.

i promise you we're not using gangstalking tactics to make you believe june is men's mental health month. it just turned out that way.

I don't celebrate either month.
so true bestie.

I also know the first Sat of the month of June is free fishing day! Fish anywhere (expect for private property not your own) for free! No fishing or hunting license that day just you and a pole, you might be required a tag or permit depending on the fish you keep so check your local laws. Take this chance to be outside and enjoy the air with your mate(s), sometimes being there and trying something new can make a world of difference for someone that week and even a highlight of the month.

in the land of the free(argentina) you can fish anywhere anytime.
if its private land just make sure to be very sneaky.
if its a NO FISHING area just make sure its a weekend when the people who moderate the rules arent working.

Wonderful! Most people visiting only do so to see the city glitz and smog. To see someone choose the most breath taking states where there's still natural beauty in the mountains and lakes does my heart good, I welcome you.

As someone Dammed to life in a City I always prefer the Rural areas over the Dirty and Ugly City Areas Especially the North Pacific Landscape of Oregon/Washington/Idaho and Montana for its open plains ? either way it quite Rural I do tend to Avoid if i can more crowded Places so DC and New York would be a no go for me.

July is men's mental health awareness month.
While I'm sure that there are some people who have alterior motives, I'd argue that you can celebrate both in good faith, at the same time, and that two compliment each other very well. Men who deviate from established gender norms, whether it's because they're LGBTQ+ and/or have mental health issues, get a lot of shit in some circles for not being "manly" enough. We should make it known that it's okay for a man to cry and to love who he loves.
