No I'm not Finland, not yet, but I do fancy some weird food combinations every once in a blue moon like a peanut butter and cheese sandwich or bacon on a tuna salad. What are some of yours?
I’ll mention a couple that I know are considered weird no matter who you ask and ones that are weird outside of where we live but are normal here. I know everyone dislikes dipping fries in shakes but I think it tastes good. I think cheese can be a good addition to peanut butter n jelly, I’d even hold the peanut butter. It’s super common over here to combine ketchup and mayo rather than ketchup and mustard, it’s practically a must.
There’s people in Europe who eat milk with rice, I find that odd as I prefer yogurt with rice.
Falafel is super popular almost no matter where you go, but it’s only here that it’s combined with a cheese called labnah. It’s a great combo.
Over here, raisins are typically cooked and rehydrated, combined with onions then used as a topping for rice or other savory dishes.
Most of these aren’t “weird” per se, but they’re uncommon in certain places.
Apparently Europeans hate potatoes with rice but it’s common in this region I live in.
